But, it all depends on your interest, do you really like what you are doing the in the lab. Research and result take years.
I don't see myself stucks in the lab with the research works, just because I am not a patient bunch, rather I would see things works and the results yields, and hence, I am inclined towards commercial and industrial manufacturing.
