You're wrong.
With that salary by age 55 of retirement he will have 10k++ plus, with every year increment.
Pension will be half of his salary. Private sector in malaysia salary are still stagnant within 5k - 7k for senior level and has not yet growth to 10k at staff level, unless you are really specialized in a skill set.
He will be earning the same salary scale in private sector as well. I wouldn't quit government unless was offered 15k++
stable,
routine and good
beneficial job since same like the government and most government work are pretty much a routine job with being a family guy it is a plus.
Can I know which phase that I went wrong? Are you a government servant too? Or desperate to become one?
With current economic, if not try to find a better & higher paid job is that enough?
Most important, why stop yourself at the same level? Life is meaningless without challenge & continuous improvement.
In private sector, only the sky is the limit for salary. Manager in MNC easily can earn 10-20k, director can be any amount that you can think off. Some of my friends become Manager & director in age 30-40 & earning sky high figure.
Never ever under estimate yourself & what you capable, but if you insist to be sit there & do nothing for rest of your life, so be it.
God only help those who help themselves.
