QUOTE(ryei @ Nov 1 2012, 09:06 AM)
any banker mind to share your salary package?
*
Previously work in a bank for 1yr. Earned RM 2400 only for fresh grad. Increament RM 100 yearly and only have RM 500 for my yearly bonus. Quit after one year and join MNC which double up my salary. Bank is good stable job but remuneration is low as they always wana be fair doesn't matter you good or average.

Just share my exp, my head of dept put me up for promotion but due to I am fresh and only have 1yr exp in banking sector, I was turned down by the chief of HR and politics issue. So there goes my resignation on the promises was not kept after what I sacrificed.

I saw some lyn member only 28-30 earn the same salary as you.

Probably you should try find other private company which offer better paid & bonus then stay in government sector for the rest of your career.

Now 6-7k is nothing for a family person. With that salary can't even afford to buy a 500-700k double storey.

You're wrong.

With that salary by age 55 of retirement he will have 10k++ plus, with every year increment.

Pension will be half of his salary. Private sector in malaysia salary are still stagnant within 5k - 7k for senior level and has not yet growth to 10k at staff level, unless you are really specialized in a skill set.

He will be earning the same salary scale in private sector as well. I wouldn't quit government unless was offered 15k++ stable, routine and good beneficial job since same like the government and most government work are pretty much a routine job with being a family guy it is a plus.

Can I know which phase that I went wrong? Are you a government servant too? Or desperate to become one?

With current economic, if not try to find a better & higher paid job is that enough?

Most important, why stop yourself at the same level? Life is meaningless without challenge & continuous improvement.

In private sector, only the sky is the limit for salary. Manager in MNC easily can earn 10-20k, director can be any amount that you can think off. Some of my friends become Manager & director in age 30-40 & earning sky high figure.

Never ever under estimate yourself & what you capable, but if you insist to be sit there & do nothing for rest of your life, so be it.
God only help those who help themselves.

Relentlessly trying to put words?

Manager n director. You highlight it personally yourself. Did I mention my mum is a Head in a bank? and earns more than what you have mentioned?

It is up to invidual on their likings of challenges. When sky is your limit, how much limit is your limit? Earning example of Bill Gates? Steve Jobs? whistling.gif sweat.gif

Nope, it depends on the profit and declaration of the bank.. I think is not appropriate to disclose which bank.. I can say if you willing to sacrifice your life in bank, you can climb but depends on the opportunity and whether you got connection or pandai "gosok" a not.. Banking sector is all about experience, they wont see your intelligence..

for current economic situation i rather stay in this sector, unemployment still out there.. even in government the pension scheme seems .. can be accepted half of the final salary.

I would possibly give it 5k SGD will be correct estimation, or you can try 7k in malaysia. Pushing the limit of more than 30% although it is not advisable but it is possible with a master.

Wow, seriously audit firm senior manager earn less then you? A small medium size firm? Guess it is typical case for audit firm to underpaid the staffs.

I'm an Accountant in MNC with 5yrs experience, just earn slightly lower then you. Guess your Bro. is seriously underpaid for that position & experience. (there have few vacancies in my company, if don't mind can PM me) thumbup.gif

But to get a 100% jump to 15k, it rarely happen lah, unless you have special skill/experience rare in the market that the company desperate need it.

Appreciated if anyone can share some comment on my post below.

I’m have been working on a company which industry of property for 3 years, and the salary only RM2300. cry.gif

I’m degree holder, major in Business Administration; may I know what the salary range in property industry is around PJ area or KL? But I’m hoping can move to property developer company.

Reason why thinking to move is because there is nothing can improve for my ability.

Please someone can advice

Many thanks.
