Hi guys, anyone know the current salary for senior associate in mid tier audit firm? I afraid I put too much in the expected salary colum, and dun wan underpay -.-
*
Then what is your current salary?

Normally company max will give 30% increment of your current salary. Anything above that is consider excessive. But still depend the company policy & how much the boss willing to paid for you.

Anyway, please don't expect audit firm will give high salary.

Just add another 30%, anything more will be difficult & hard to justify. But it also depend the company budget & how much the manager like you.

Probably you can state RM4000-4500

Good Luck

Minimum pay is 900???

Minimum paid is bullshit, I know some degree holder work in Kelantan as Auditor only pay RM700-800 only thus always OT.

So if a Maid request over RM900, its totally out of mind.

Hi,
I have requested RM 4,300 from Citibank, got almost 3 years experience in other bank. Ok or not? Please helpppp.. blink.gif
*
We can request what e ever salary we want, problem is whether the company offer to us.

The problem is whether you able to justify & convince the hiring manager.

FYI, Citibank don't offer good salary, similar as HSBC. Please don't surprise Citibank offer RM1600-2000 to a fresh grad.

Anyone know the market rate for finance? Feel like underpaid with 4 yrs exp n working as exec... Getting 4k.... See that market some offer 5k...
*
Mind to ask, do you have professional qualification? In finance/accounting field, it will be very hard to break 5k if without any prof cert.

Honestly the market always decide by supply & demand. Try to get any offer outside, if you're unable to get any, mean you are well paid.

I saw some lyn member only 28-30 earn the same salary as you.

Probably you should try find other private company which offer better paid & bonus then stay in government sector for the rest of your career.

Now 6-7k is nothing for a family person. With that salary can't even afford to buy a 500-700k double storey.

You're wrong.

With that salary by age 55 of retirement he will have 10k++ plus, with every year increment.

Pension will be half of his salary. Private sector in malaysia salary are still stagnant within 5k - 7k for senior level and has not yet growth to 10k at staff level, unless you are really specialized in a skill set.

He will be earning the same salary scale in private sector as well. I wouldn't quit government unless was offered 15k++ stable, routine and good beneficial job since  same like the government and most government work are pretty much a routine job with being a family guy it is a plus.
*
Can I know which phase that I went wrong? Are you a government servant too? Or desperate to become one?

With current economic, if not try to find a better & higher paid job is that enough?

Most important, why stop yourself at the same level? Life is meaningless without challenge & continuous improvement.

In private sector, only the sky is the limit for salary. Manager in MNC easily can earn 10-20k, director can be any amount that you can think off. Some of my friends become Manager & director in age 30-40 & earning sky high figure.

Never ever under estimate yourself & what you capable, but if you insist to be sit there & do nothing for rest of your life, so be it.
God only help those who help themselves.

for current economic situation i rather stay in this sector, unemployment still out there.. even in government the pension scheme seems .. can be accepted half of the final salary.

Added on November 5, 2012, 11:37 am

for family man i think this income just cukup2 makan. i agreed if i was offeres 15k than i quit. most of my friend in private earn the same figure as me. slightly higher. My brother working as senior manager at audit firm was lower than mine although has been working more than 10 years..
*
Wow, seriously audit firm senior manager earn less then you? A small medium size firm? Guess it is typical case for audit firm to underpaid the staffs.

I'm an Accountant in MNC with 5yrs experience, just earn slightly lower then you. Guess your Bro. is seriously underpaid for that position & experience. (there have few vacancies in my company, if don't mind can PM me) thumbup.gif

But to get a 100% jump to 15k, it rarely happen lah, unless you have special skill/experience rare in the market that the company desperate need it.

agree also..now the main issue is the $$.. ppl always ask for more..4k i dont think he can really offer me that high..they are quite stingy on workforce..

3 years..its really nothing..they pay me for diploma market rate only as i didn't complete ACCA..tell you,my salary once i got in, its only 1.3..other juniors who came in they told me they got 2k..tell me how am i gonna feel balance as im the senior, i reviewed all their works but their salaries are almost the same as mine? i always trying to convince myself its my problem because i never complete my acca.. cry.gif
*
Good point, you know where you stand. If you take any papers this sitting, study hard & all the best.

This the realistic of job market, if no cert, then you won't get promote & get better paid. Remember your hard work in ACCA is worth & help you in the rest of your career life. Honestly, this is what motivate me, no matter how suffer & how tough I am to study part time, it is a must for me to complete it.

Now I'm enjoy harvesting the fruit from the hard work I did.

Good luck & all the best for your ACCA

Haha... the reason we work is to get paid for our bills. If you too sentimental, you forever stuck in the same place. Remember, boss always value money more then employee, you only stay when boss can counter offer with your new offer.

5k before 30's hmm.gif

That will really depends in what sector/industry

I think it will be pretty easy to achieve by Sales/Marketing sector. Then will be professional field, Engineer, Accountant, Doctor, Lawyer, consultant & etc. rolleyes.gif
Other industry will quite hard to achieve 5k before 30's sweat.gif

It also depends on where you are working.

Seriously, if in KL without 5k, it will be hard to own a house. Not that it is not achievable but it's tough.

at this era, 5k is really very little. By 30, you will looking to start a family, more mouth to feed. 5k will barely get you through.
*
Generally 5k will be just enough with a house due to standard of living keep increase.

Anyway, all depend how your spending lifestyle. Such as now every people also holding iPhone/Samsung Galaxy, Astro & Internet at home. 5-10 years ago, these thing not even exist. If you don't own these, you may save extra 300-400/mth for food expenses or petrol.

How to get in to Big4? Just send your resume & apply job thru Big4 website. If you attend interview before & not manage to get in, then you may not good enough or may have attitude problem.

Some of my friends who can't speak fluent English still manage to get in. These days Big4 had lower their requirement due to short of candidates.
