Try to contact Apple directly. I never deal with middlemen if I can help it.
I took my MBP to an Apple Store in Los Angeles on the LAST day of warranty (Battery Check warning), and they graciously changed to a brand-spanking-new battery for me AND they even changed my entire keyboard for free because they noticed that the heavy use has sort of rubbed off on the old one. I don't recall ever having this great of a service back when I was dealing with Machines.
Call them up. 1800-80-6419.

I will give them a call tomorrow morning. edit: Hey, i called this number this morning. They are malaysia apple online store. I were to complaint my local apple reseller but they only ask me to call back my reseller. Definately not giving any help to complaint my local store. I believe if you bought your mac online they would be happy to help. So anyone out there where can i complaint my local store other than consumer tribunal. I want to contact apple regional office or customer care line. This post has been edited by sciguy: Sep 4 2012, 11:03 PM

I really don't know what else to do other than just keep on trying to bug the reseller directly. Other than the consumer tribunal, here's the website for the Malaysian National Consumer Complaint Centre. http://www.nccc.org.my/v2/That's all I can help you with. Good luck and keep us all posted. I'm sure there are more people out there who suffered the same fate. :

QUOTE(BRY7 @ Jul 26 2012, 05:07 PM) i dont think they cheated you. if theres some black thing on the port, it could be burnt. that wouldnt be covered under ACPP. I think i agree with him, check the item properly first then you can make any relevan decission. Sometimes we always think that we was right coz of our buyer status..

Sometimes we always think that we was right coz of our buyer status.. Quoting an old reply? .. Apple has owned up, and snowieluv has her logicboard replaced under warranty and we know that "big name" company is bad. Let it to rest .. and avoid if you can from buying anything from their stores or if you've bought one, avoid sending to them for service.

If it is this, then nothing much you can do by complaining to Apple Malaysia. Apple Malaysia customer support is for Apple products only, and not their resellers. Just my 2 cents opinion.

I have bought many things from several Authorized Stores and Premium Retailers. I must say, most of these people are arrogant. I remember buying my iMac from Machines @ MidValley, and I requested for immediate upgrade to Snow Leopard (it was pre-installed with Leopard, and I'm entitled to SL for free)...and that person said this to me (word to word, accurately, without adding salt & pepper): "Do it yourself lah at home. It's easy. Here...take this brochure and it will teach you how."
Of course, there were times when I had very good service. There was a pretty girl at Machines @ Lot10. I bought accessories for my new iPad (iPad 3), and she helped me throughout the process of selecting (tried 10-15 covers), paying, sticking the screen protectors, putting on the cover, teaching me on iPad specific gestures (I never had an iPad before), etc. She did all that even though I didn't buy my iPad from Machines (bought at Harvey Norman). I admit, maybe it wasn't just about customer service...Too bad I didn't get her number though.
And my experience with official Apple service...is...none. Luckily nothing happened to all my iDevices...yet.

I'm planning to buy a new Macbook Pro Retina Display. Read in this thread of the horrible service from Machines.
So, which outlet will you all recommend?
Thanks

Luckily nothing happened to all my iDevices...yet. Wow, you must have had a bad experience with the guys at the MidValley outlet... I was fortunate that when I bought my MBP at Machines The Gardens, the salesman I dealt with was very helpful with stuff like setting up the PC as well as activating the AppleCare warranty... The same goes for MyBytes in Tropicana City, when I bought a 64GB iPod touch to replace the 32GB one that I sold off (pleasant and helpful salesperson, not arrogant at all, and he also helped to stick the screen protector on the unit!)... As for Apple service, I had a faulty AC adapter (also related to the MacBook) and sent it to Mac City @ 1U for a replacement... No issues there, everything was done with a smile and no LCLY attitude!
