Do consider Forte now. Its not too late. Price is good & value for money.

I saw 2 cars Kia K3 Tested in rural road from Pendang to Jeniang (Kedah and around 40km from Naza Kia manufacturing plant). The first car in Silver and second one in red.. Sorry for no photos.. both car speeding toward my direction. Another confirmation is from my industrial training student who has finished his training on April at Naza Kia Manufacturing Plant in Gurun mentioned that they has saw the car.

A bit disappointed with the meter design, I expect the design look as below.

if not mistaken, that meter belong's to GDI model..
wat to do, our beloved country's petrol damn good, cant support for GDI, if not, there's a hope for naza to bring in GDI model. 1.6cc for 140ps! on par with civic 1.8

Public listed or not, P1 requires protection to survive. Its survival is crucial to ensure that non-national makes have to sell above the minimum range, as excuse to sell cars tO us at cut throat price while minimising cost to lowest. We are buying lowest spec cars at twice the price of the same car highest spec in AU, US, EU.

Even UK that charged highest tax and expenses on cars are beaten by our local car price.

With all the features that you mention for malaysian market, can you name other features that not coming here? Parking assist, active econ, etc.? I'll be surprised if we can get the glove box with the soft drink cooler feature though..

parking assist and active econ dun think will get. but glove box with cooler i think can get since rio also equipped with one

the k3 now is CBU from Korea or CKD in Naza?

I have just returned from a two days training at the NAZA plant in Gurun and had the first hand privilege to look at the car. Here are just some interesting features to add to the discussion. The design for the windows near the A and C pillar provides higher visibility now, as compared to Forte.

It will be officially called KIA CERATO in Malaysia, not K3, not Forte, barring any last minute change of name by Naza management.

Although some of you claim that you have seen these pictures from the internet, please note that what you are seeing now are the actual SPECs for Malaysian market. Will provide more insight later with other postings.

If you look at the dashboard and the door trim, you will find a flowing motif inspired by nature, somewhat like a seashell design, which is very unique to the CERATO. See attached pictures for details.

The spec will come with Front & Rear Parking Assist system in the form of 2 ultrasonic sensors at the front, and 4 sensors at the back, with dot matrix LCD cluster for 1.6SX and TFT color LCD cluster display for the 2.0. These LCD display would show how close your car is to any obstruction with 3 bars being the furthest, and 1 bar the nearest.

However, it does not have the auto-park feature, which is what you are asking. Not for the Malaysian spec anyway.

Why my K5 got no front sensor?

Well, some specs in the K5 are NOT available in the CERATO namely:

1) RAIN SENSOR
2) REAR FOG LAMP
3) STATIC BENDING LIGHT

Ok, thanks for the info. Coz my understanding is that the auto park assist will be in for Msian model. But it's ok, it's just something good to have feature anyway.

haha ... K3 dashboard is also nicer than K5 in my opinion But K5 is still very attractive though! hehe ... Just budget constrains for me
