QUOTE(minshome @ Apr 24 2013, 04:20 PM) As I see the review from Korea tv on K3, they have mobile apps to auto start K3 engine remotely. Really cool.. Don't think there will be such spec for Malaysian market. TV commercial will always show the best features available, but reality is, with so many features, the car price will be very high and will not be competitive. Just my 2 cents. Will it be included in K3 Malaysia launching??? |

QUOTE(minshome @ May 10 2013, 01:35 PM) hi naza dealer, i can see from newspaper PG 408 is ongoing promotion of 5 yr warranty+5 free service.... Bro, Peugeot and KIA are under separate companies and management, although both are under the NAZA group. Will it extend to new K3 aso?? New models, will not get free service. 5 Year warranty should be a standard. Cheers. |

QUOTE(weakmeal69 @ May 10 2013, 10:58 PM) For China model, the radiator grille resembles a BMW, whereas the one coming to Malaysia, which is also for other general market, is trying to retain its own distinct identity. For the rear combination lamp, I would say the one for general market look pretty nice at night, as the LED forms a complete ring and look very sporty. |

Dear All,
I have just returned from a two days training at the NAZA plant in Gurun and had the first hand privilege to look at the car. Here are just some interesting features to add to the discussion. The design for the windows near the A and C pillar provides higher visibility now, as compared to Forte. It will be officially called KIA CERATO in Malaysia, not K3, not Forte, barring any last minute change of name by Naza management. Although some of you claim that you have seen these pictures from the internet, please note that what you are seeing now are the actual SPECs for Malaysian market. Will provide more insight later with other postings. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(jootat @ May 22 2013, 11:25 AM) I thought last time there is one bro here shared an article saying that the parking assist will be one of the feature here in msia too? The spec will come with Front & Rear Parking Assist system in the form of 2 ultrasonic sensors at the front, and 4 sensors at the back, with dot matrix LCD cluster for 1.6SX and TFT color LCD cluster display for the 2.0. These LCD display would show how close your car is to any obstruction with 3 bars being the furthest, and 1 bar the nearest. However, it does not have the auto-park feature, which is what you are asking. Not for the Malaysian spec anyway. |

QUOTE(weakmeal69 @ May 22 2013, 03:24 PM) comparing ur statement and mr. edwin's statement There are 2 things we are talking about herei thght both variants will get TFT screen with rear view camera? so which one is correct since u both hve seen the car already 1) 4.3 Inch TFT LCD display (touch screen) on AUDIO system, with rear view camera. This is the audio player right in the middle of the car. 2) 4.2 Inch TFT LCD instrument cluster for 2.0L only. This is the one right above the steering wheel. For 1.6L, it is dot matrix display (no color) For 2.0L, it comes in TFT color display. Hope that clarifies. |

QUOTE(captivesim @ May 24 2013, 06:41 PM) Bro..Forte 2.0 powerful is it on highway? because i only considering 1.6 the new K3. Mine just city drive ok kah? how about pickup after roundabout and traffic light? i just need confirmation I tested the K3 in Gurun, the pickup was good, even for 1.6. For the test drive, the K3 was pitted against Civic 1.8 (outgoing model) and Altis 1.8. I must say that the 1.6 really gave both the competitors a run for their money. In this shot, taken from the Altis, the K3 is right in front but rear lamps were fully taped up to maintain its secrecy. Yes, its all over the internet, but Naza management policy is never to reveal the car in its full glory before the launch. QUOTE(jayraptor @ May 25 2013, 11:46 PM) They perceived the K3 1.6 a dangerous threat to Inspira 2.0L RM93k. If they let K3 1.6 priced at RM94k-RM96k, do you think people will want to buy Inspira? Though based on Lancer, both the Inspira & Lancer are beginning to feel dated. Today, people are coming up with dual VVT, 6AT conventional gearbox that is more responsive and thanks to lockup convertor & dual clutch, shifting gears no longer jerky. FC wise, Inspira 2.0L at 8.8km/L to 9km/L is not better than Forte 2.0 in city & highway. The way the new Cerato is bring priced is not primarily influenced by its position against the national models. To a certain degree, yes, maybe. But the truth is, the cost of having all the SPECS in this car has gone up and there is no way to sell it at sub 90K or even between 90-95K. Forte 1.6L with 6AT 0-100km/h in 11.5s Forte 2.0L with 6AT 0-100km/h in 9.8s Inspira 1.8 with CVT 0-100km/h in 11.5s Inspira 2.0 with CVT 0-100km/h in 10.5s Forte handling with VSC allowing it to turn at higher speed. Only weakness in its torsion beam is when going over uneven roads, if left side uneven and shaky, it'll affect the right. Multi-link only left side while the right will not be affected. Cerato with more aerodynamic design and more conti-feel is posing higher threat than the old Forte introduced here before Inspira exist. Elantra 1.6 is proven a threat to Inspira, they will not want Cerato K3 to get more slice out of Inspira sales pie chart. Both Elantra MD and Cerato K3 have dual CVVT and they get 1km/L better than Forte. Mitsu Mirage is powerd by low performance weaker than Myvi engine. That is how it passed the protection pricing. The same goes to Almera, P1 finds it an inferior goods and don't think it could affect Preve sales. Quality B-segment too are forced to set pricing no cheaper than Inspira lowest spec. That explains why Sonic and Rio 1.6 if introduced here will be forced to price at RM90k. At this moment, there is no news that Naza would offer an EX or a lower spec model for Malaysian market. But if there is one, would any of you buy if it is price at say 88-89K, without many of the features found in the SX? |

QUOTE(westcoastbay @ May 26 2013, 11:56 AM) The name Cerato had been in use in certain oversea markets, for as long as I can remember. It was even used pm models which were otherwise known as Spectra in our market, so it is not new. When Kia dropped the Spectra name about 5 years ago, it continued with Cerato and Forte, much like Optima and Magentis and Rondo vs Carens. Yes, SG decided to combine it and name theirs Cerato Forte instead. My guess is that there is a need for differentiation against the current selling model - Forte, as it would continue to be sold, at least for a while. I would personally prefer it named as Forte K3, just like naming convention of the Optima K5, but then again, I don't call the shots. |
