99.99999999999999999% Valve Seal

hey all,

my aircond recently gave me this prob. While driving on a hot day, the engine temperature will rise above half mark, then the aircond will stop blowing cool air. If I drive at night, engine temperature never go above the half-mark thus aircond is working fine (can be damn cold).

I suspect something is wrong with the engine cooling system which after reach above the half-mark, aircond stopped working?? Is it true??

I've checked the radiator, water is full. so i dunno what can I do?

Its hard to explain here... better go google.... conclusion, when valve seal is old it will be hardened and therefore it may prone to have oil leak into the cylinder plug

the valve seal should can tahan more than 2 years (unless ur valve seal quality not good). If problem remain, u go overhaul the engine, anyway it is 10 years already. Spent little money now to prevent costly maintenance in the future.

planning to change both sides, new DS (not recond one!) only comes from CHina now, there's one brand name GSP, so looks like I'm going to settle for that.

also, changing DS oil seal, I heard there are different kind varies from premium quality to soso quality. the most common one is NOK, below RM10, however I was introduced to another type, cost near to RM20 one pcs (ex workmanship), not really sure which one to take up.

Both sides, same price RM150 each. Bought from spare part shop excluding  installation.

workshop will quote you 180 to 220, but please make sure they get new DS for you, there are quite a few brands according to my 4man friend, there are also re-cond type outside, they change the joint and use back the rod, to me, it's waste of time, energy and money.
Make sure your workshop won't do this.

spring and absorber price is not much different from halfcut or from spare part shop, better to buy from spare part shop.

most probably is the spring is for 1.6/1.8 and yours is 1.3/1.5?
so the spring is harder than the ori spec.

you can get the rubber bumper/buffer (forgot what its name) for the rear so that your rear look same height as front.

should be the same. i never heard that 1.3/1.5 is smaller only less stiff.
