Guys,
I just installed a 6.5" component speaker on my wira se. However after instaling the speaker, the door panel rattles because half of the speaker is covered by the panel.
To solve this problem, my installer suggested to me to make a custom door panel for RM 450 (both sides) so that the sound from the speakers won't be blocked. The custom made panel is only for the lower part of the door and i feel that it's quite expensive.
Does anyone here knows where i can get custom made panels at a more affordable price?
Thanks.

they use plastic or fiber as the material of custom door panel right? rm450 for me is kinda expensive.... actually i wanna install 6.5" speaker too but my ori. stock is only 4" or 5" ... however, other than custom door panel.. , there's another way is by cutting your ori door panel.. only if you willing to do so.. but no harm right? since you gonna stay at 6.5" forever..

Cut not nice la. The custom panel looks cool but i think the price they charge is overkill.

Getting Started

i done mine at rm250 for both side. what they did, they cut the ori door panel and some metal because my speaker magnet is quite big into 6.5inch and attached 1pc mdf board inside exactly the hole size. so whenever the mid hit, it hit only the board and not the door panel.

actually if u proper installed it, it wont create the sound of ur speaker hit the metal..it's just other part of ur door that are rattles.... if ur spk will hit the metal and generate noise, then ur speaker are not secure tightly..

Wow, RM250 is quite expensive. The mdf board only costs me rm30. Means that the cutting itself costs RM220?
