I'm not sure how the HP1k sounds w/o the LD2+, but i would say it was quite a "wierd" experience. The sound has this "digital" feel in it, and everything sounds recessed. But it wins every headphone that i'd tested in the shop with its details. Especially on The Banquet's theme song - the Philips manage to pick up more details compare to SR325. But i don't like how it sounds. No offence to any HP1k owners. Just my RM0.02."
