damn...
and this is without any PAv2v!

wonder how it'll sound like when i buy one.

anyways..to 'bring out the best' of my can,
shud i get a soundcard(for my lappy..as i usually listen to songs from it) OR shud i get a an amplifier?

with any amp, it'l lsurely sounds clearly lady...

and if u really wish to bring out the best of any headphones, try this:

1. use only LOSSLESS AUDIO SOURCE - that means 50mb for a 5 min song in flac, ape or whatever lossless audio codec u like

cost? 1 album will typically eat 600+mb of hdd space

2. a EMU1616m Micro Dock ext sound card (notice that this IS NOT 1212 or 1818)

cost: around 1,500+ (not yet confirmed by Creative Singapore)

3. grado sr-1

cost: the best price i've gotten is SGD 1,050 after haggling so much with gabriel and his towkay (wilson) from Jaben Network in adelphi, singapore

hey lucifah... tat is 'crazy' setup la. ppl only beginner.... tats y i say, LYN forumers is very good in squeezing ppl's wallet

the lossless audio source doesn't eat your wallet, at least

significant improvement can be noticed immediately with a headphone upgrade

then a good amplifier will help

only then you focus on your audio source and DSP

and when u have upgraded your DSP, ur headphone becomes the bottleneck, and u upgrade to better heaphones

and then the amp is obsolete, then u have to find a better amp

and the vicious cycle continues... wink.gif

i tell you, being an audiophile is like selling your soul to the devil
