QUOTE(DAViS @ Jul 3 2006, 12:10 PM) I thought the headphone is for your brother as birthday gift how come ending you are the one listening to it? *This kind of reason I heard thousand times already. 2 person using the same account, Cheers . QUOTE hehe I am even more skeptical to think there's any differences after 10 hours continuous running. Most of the time, our mind will convince us that there's improvements although that's just our ears getting used to the music played by the headphones, nothing more tongue.gif
is tat what we call " mental burn in ? " This post has been edited by david890701: Jul 3 2006, 06:32 PM

QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Jul 4 2006, 07:59 PM) AAaaa.. finally gotten my SHP895 , since my AHP512 kinda does "mono" instead of "stereo" Juz started to "warm-up" my new headphones.. do mid volume rite?.. not too high if not headphone will spoil rite?.. Cheers I used pink noise for my burn in , -6dB will do.

QUOTE(Tachikoma @ Jul 6 2006, 11:47 AM) Nope, must be analogue output unless you have a special headphone which has an onboard DAC. Pink noise is different from white noise, check out wiki for a better explanation. oOo.. Thats y my headphone sucks when i plugged straight into my soundcard. Well , i need an amp to do it right no? means Soundcard --> Amp --> SHP895?

QUOTE(Renovatio @ Jul 7 2006, 08:28 AM) Not that your headphone sucks , it's just that if driven by soundcard only, the output would only be around 70% of what you could've heard from your headphone. A suitable amp will bump it up to 90~100% of what your headphone is capable of. BTW, thedoctor's class AB headamp rocks Thx Renovatio for the info ! But somehow i find it the high is too harsh when i'm using it with my ipod , without headamp of course. Can a headamp tame the high? or isit the equaliser of my ipod ?
