previously i owned a hp890 but soon after hp895 was released i let go the hp890 and grab the hp895. the black colour is sooo sexy. thinking to buy hp1000 but the price is killing me. hoping to own hp1000 soooon.

HP400 in my opinion is quite choosey.
and i guess most ppl here already poisoned by HP890/HP895 those open air phone. easier to drive, and sound more airy. easier to accept. =)
HP400 some how better in some part, than my hp890. but i just don't quite appriciate it after i had HP890.
=P not fair though comparing RM 180 with RM 80.

As I said before Philips HP1000 really a good headphone for you wearing one whole day as I did before during a gaming training session with my battle mates

the lossless audio source doesn't eat your wallet, at least
significant improvement can be noticed immediately with a headphone upgrade

then a good amplifier will help

only then you focus on your audio source and DSP

and when u have upgraded your DSP, ur headphone becomes the bottleneck, and u upgrade to better heaphones

and then the amp is obsolete, then u have to find a better amp

and the vicious cycle continues...
i tell you, being an audiophile is like selling your soul to the devil

own a shp805 now, and do you guys think it is wise to upgrade it to a shp895?

or should i aim higher? like grado sr60 or even senheiser hd555?

owners please advice! anyways i posted my one week old shp805 for sale in garage already, hehehe.

flatness in equipment ie frequency response...yes..but flatness in music/sound?...i don't think any audiophile wants that 

still prefer my amp having the tone control to cure some bad recordings..
