Some of you might be miss out something i've written, which is very important on your debate.
Refer back to post #1388, i've state clearly there that i want to get more HP890 for modding purposes.
I wanted to try until i get the best HP890 in the entire universe.(sounds a bit gay)
Remember, is the best HP890, not the best headphone.
Some little secret mod to tell here to make this debate end, hopefully.
I've done a little bit, yes just a little bit mod on the HP890, and guess what, i got lots of treble improvement on it, and the bass has more vibration already, which is good in gaming.
And i believe it is catching up HP1000 treble already, which IMO HP1000 treble is superbly great, no doubt.
So why i willing to spend RM80 many times instead of RM800 sekali?
I guess the answer is already there.
And again, yes i'm still searching for my next upgrade.
And yes i did found something i like, in term of sound, which is MS2i.
And why it makes me think twice?
Because it is not full-cap, which i not so like, cause i can't wear it into toilet, surely it will fall out, yes, SURELY.
So i still trying hard to search for next upgrade.
Before that, i'll do what i can do the best on HP890, so i need that much HP890 to become my white mice.
I hope that there's no more arguement unwanted debate in this thread.

1 more thing i want to clarify here to avoid any debates start again.
I wanted to do balance out on 1 of the HP890 later, if i manage get 1 on low price.
Yes i'm going to drill drill and chop chop the HP890, then find people to help me to do cables out from both left and right then end up with 2 XLR, kinda cool isn't it?

And yes, i'm finding hardly a balanced amp now, hopefully someone know how to build 1.

I've had a talk with him when on the way back to our place after the March Gathering.
And he told me, a headphone need a proper amp.
And amp is more expensive than headphone is nothing wrong, and sometimes it is right too.
Just imagine a high end headphone amp'ed with a mid range, or worse amp'ed with an entry level amp, what will you think?
The headphone can't fully perform, and those entry level or mid range amp can't fulfill the needs of the headphone.
So the headphone power still hidden in somewhere in the middle of the jungle.
And yes yrh0413, i agree with your act that you sold your LD2+ to get a better, or people might say a more expensive amp.
You heard a lot of people saying "siao, you're rich", "omg, you're insane" or something like that.
But me, lAh0S, fully support what you've did.
Getting a better amp only can unleash(this word is cool isn't it? ) the full potential of your lovely K701.
I bet people out there won't want LD2+ as you headamp while you got a RM1400 headphone, right?
So amp always come 1st in my mind, then headphone.
So now you all know why i wanted to get that much HP890?
Don't argue debate on what i did, i really feel a little bit bo song uncomfortable.

HP1000 has a steel alike thingy on top, while the HP9000 has a rubber/leather/plastic combo a like thingy on top, which is exactly like HP890.(refer to the previous page)
The grill/driver/coshion area is like HP1000.

Your actually listening to SR80 now.

Correction, a modded 890 has very forward sound, heavy and impactful bass, and with soundstage.
Now you got it?
I bet no body wanted to spend RM350 to buy a 890.
For me, if i got the money and choose between 890 and SR80, i'll go for SR80.
The price of 890 on RM180 still acceptable, but not over RM200.

I seriously agree with the bolded part you've mentioned.
You really got a pair of golden ears leh.
Heard 1 time then know everything already.
I heard thousand times baru know everything about 890.

About the 2nd bolded part, Hanxz no longer prefer his SR80 already after he heard my modded 890 during we collect our debt from Edifier.
He 1st hooked on my 890, connect with his ipod, and then hooked his SR80 on.
And he said "WUARGH~~ SO SIMILAR ONE !!"

It maybe improve the soundstage, but will surely screw up the ultra comfortability of HP890.

This is what in my mind now, PcWork please do consider about it.
1st, cut off the stock 2.5mm plug from the stock cable, then attach it on the new cable with a new 3.5mm plug and cable.
Is that possible?
The only thing that made PcWork head spin is the locking type of 2.5mm plug only.
It actually need to plug in and spin it to tighten it.
Not like HP890 just plug in only.
That's why HP890 rocks !!
