Is is HP1000 a bit hard to drive? Means HP amp is needed then only can max out its performance?

32 ohms impedence still OK. You don't need an amp to drive it but with amp any headphones/earphones will sounds better.

yeah. and i just got my koss kcs75, still HP890 sounds a lot better =P but consider the price of koss, of course, it worth very much for it's price.

You cant really judge by the impedence alone
It's harder to drive volume-wise than my 120ohm HD595

i think tht the canals one provide more bass while this provides better sound clarity..

hp895 is much harder to drive thant he 50ohm hd555. i mean much as in so much harder..

Hmm... I know HP1000 can produce very low bass up to 5Hz but my Rotel integrated still have no enough ooohm to drive it. May be have to revert back to PA2V2.

I know HD595 is light to drive as I tested it with HD1500U (Wireless amp), the music really sounds nice.
