QUOTE(xtylish @ Jul 25 2012, 09:40 AM) Grrrrrrrrrrrrlllllllllsssssssssss!!!!!! so far, only sephora carries it (not incl online store). i think it costs RM99? i kinda forgot but somewhere that price.where can I get this apart from Sephora? I am not sure Sephora got sell or not also. Should be very expensive right? the sephora beauty consultant told me that, even though many ppl buy this concealer, she said it's kinda hard to find a shade that suit our skin tone exactly. most of the time, we need to mix 2 different shades from this concealer to find the best shade for us. therefore she recommended make up forever HD concealer. lol. but at the end, my friend didn't buy anything. haha! |

QUOTE(xtylish @ Jul 27 2012, 10:10 AM) go to sephora and ask them to try it on you, then you will be able to see the difference. hehe! but i hate the lightings at sephora.. i don't like yellow/ orange lighting.. it just can't show you the truth of the concealer.. lol. once you tried it, walk into somewhere that has bright lighting and you can see clearly. laura mercier concealer for under eye is pretty good.. you may try amazing concealer too. honestly, i hardly use any concealer undereye as my dark circle doesn't bother me yet. when i was having a makeover by kanebo's japanese makeup artist one time, he used lunasol's concealer under my eye. the result is pretty good though. it didn't crack and didn't sip into my fine lines too. haha! as for uneven skin tone, perhaps a make up base is better than concealer. what kind of uneven skin tone? those area beside your nose? or was it due to blemishes marks or pigmentation? |

QUOTE(xtylish @ Jul 27 2012, 10:29 AM) you may try from now on. hehe! i always find that concealer for pigmentation will exaggerate the pigment more . i am not a make up artist or anything, so, i guess the best is to go to the counter itself and hunt for a perfect thing that suit you.me and my friend went to many counters to find a concealer that she thinks look good on her. at last, she landed on laura mercier and bought their tinted moisturizer and concealer. she used it to cover her blemish marks. QUOTE(oatkrunch @ Jul 27 2012, 11:15 AM) but are you working? RM 150 should be able to get a good one. but of course.. that's just the range i gave you as i don't wanna put too much limit on it. a wider budget has more choices. you may get something nice below RM100. hehe! i just want something light and not cakey |

QUOTE(xtylish @ Jul 27 2012, 12:59 PM) ohh ok.. i don't know your what is your shade of fairness. lol.. so, i guess prolly you can go for japanese brands as they their shades are more for fairer skin.. very limited shades anyhow for darker skin tone. whenever i try out their concealer, they always ended up using the fairest shade on me and one thing i don't really like fairest shade of concealer is.. it doesn't really cover anything. lol. but if they use the 2nd shade, it will look so obvious on my face as it's dark for my skintone. unless.. i am using above some bb cream or foundation, then i can mix the concealer with it and get a proper coverage but most of the times i use it on top of make up base only as i don't wanna use foundation or bb cream everyday. so, the fairest concealer alone didn't do much of the covering job. |

QUOTE(xtylish @ Jul 27 2012, 02:28 PM) you need to make sure of a thing before you go for their workshop. you are their member?i am a member of shu uemura. i was given a few complimentary workshop and so my first time going there for their eyelashes workshop is fairly disappointed. i mean i didn't know what was it all about and so i just made an appointment and went. i went for how to apply false lashes workshop. they didn't tell me anything when i made the appointment and i didn't even ask anything thinking it's a workshop. so, when i went there in the morning, the beauty consultant asked "did you bring your shu uemura lashes? i said no i haven't tried shu uemura's lashes before.. then she said "oh then you need to purchase a pair from us". then i said "ohh i didn't know we need to bring our own lashes for this workshop, if i knew, i would have brought my own lashes." then she said "oh! we don't do lashes that's not shu uemura. we only accept shu uemura lashes." sigh.. so, i bought a pair of lashes from them, which i don't really like any of it. so, i just chose the cheapest lashes yet it's so dramatic looking. i really don't fancy their lashes, that's why i never thought of purchasing it all these while. so, she taught me how to apply eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, then false lashes. she will teach me and do it on me for one eye and the other eye, i have to do it on my own while she is guiding me. so, i am not sure what kind of workshop that you are going to attend.. you better ask them what is it all about. ask them if you need to bring anything shu uemura or do you need to purchase anything from them for this workshop. better ask before going. i mean, i felt a bit disappointed... giving workshop to their member only if we are using their product and moreover, it's not given for free but you have to buy it for them. actually, if i were told in advanced, i won't be this disappointed but i wasn't being told anything. |
