i just got my new S3 from Digi... first, when the battery was plugged in, the phone could not be turn on... is the battery totally drained out?

then i went home and charge the phone for 6 hours, but battery only shows 48%... is it normal? 6 hours and it's only 48%?

anyone facing similar issue?

that's exactly what i thought cause normally there will be some remaining battery juices left... but this one is totally drained out?

and 6 hours to charge only half of the battery?

Full charge from near empty most is 3 hours+
Either battery is defective, usb cable defective or usb port in phone defective

blink.gif could be so many possibilities of defective? blink.gif
i shall check if my battery can charge to full or not later on... if not, i'm going back to the centre!! icon_question.gif

Dont go back to centre. go to service center as the shop selling you wont replace a new unit.
Why didnt you check it whether it can turn on before leaving blink.gif

By mean charging, did you use wallplug to charge or using pc/laptop usb port?

using plug = 3+hours to max
using pc/laptop usb port = more than 4hours to max.

The guy did put the battery in but couldn't turn on. He just said, battery drained off. I didn't think much then...

I use a wallplug to charge.

Just to update, I went back to Digi Centre just now and they tried everything, i.e. change battery, change charger and etc.

As a result, they found out the phone not charging although with the other battery.

I demanded them to change a new one and they understand cause it's brand new and less than 24 hours! According to them, the last few days, there's a similar case with Galaxy Note.

So, I've to wait few more days for my S3!! cry.gif

Omg...seriously? hope this wont happen to Note2 ...

Fingers crossed! And I won't be surprised cause they manufactured thousands of machines and definitely, there will be few which are defect.

And I'm the one in a thousands unlucky one to pick a defect unit! Hope I would get a new and good one. cry.gif

demand for 1 to 1 exchange due to customer service negligence and not being responsible , why wait for few days?

They got no more stock at the moment... cry.gif

I don't mind waiting for few more days as long as I get a brand new, good unit!
