oh alrite :{
but one last thing though, since amoled has degradable organic component how long is the expect life time on that ?

so although samsung s3 is better than the htc one x in terms of having a replacable battery (curious why htc didn't opt for this), but the samsung is also has an expiry on it's display which obviously is not going to be replacable either.
If the phone can physically last 5 years, i think that is a winner already
With heavy use (and by heavy I mean 12 hours of ACTIVE USE per day average), the OLED on my old S2 started showing low level burn-in symptoms after 1 year. I sold it off already, but if I extrapolate that, the SuperAMOLED+ screen should be "dead" by 2-3 years of "heavy" use or 4-5 years of "normal" (5-6 hours a day) use.but one last thing though, since amoled has degradable organic component how long is the expect life time on that ?

Which is on par with the manufacturer estimation.
The S2 SuperAMOLED+ is full RGB, which means it would theoretically DIE FASTER compared to a SuperAMOLED(no plus)HD Pentile screens of similar size and density.
So taking that into account (and minus-ing the fact that we have denser, bigger screens) the S3 screen should last AS long (or maybe slightly longer) then it's predecessor, say 4-5 years of "normal" use.
Granted, it would start yellowing noticeably after the first 2-3 years (due to blue OLED death), but like I said, the estimated "obsolescence" of a modern mobile is around 2 years anyway, so it's fine all things considered.
And who says the screens ain't replaceable? 500 gets you a new screen now, It should be relatively cheaper in the future.
Personally I'm more concerned with the totally "plastic" bodies of the current crop of modern mobiles lol.
Alas, we're already too far into the disposable age anyway. You can't expect too much from anything these days.
