I agree with Heaven and others who said to not compare Guild wars 2 and D3, fyi they are two different games with two different goals.
The old Gw1 was designed by some of the old Blizzard staff which worked on Diablo 2, therefore if you said there are similarities. They are only minor...very very minor. Those similarities die out by the release of GW Factions and almost non-existant in Nightfall. Again the goals by those two games are different. If you wanna compare other MMORPGs to Gw2, that would probably make more sense than that of another type of game. Anyways, about the Lyn guild. I believe that those who are interested in setting up thier own guild should do so...do not restrict yourself to only 1 community....because the game is about expansion and communities. Meet others around and get to know more about the world of Tyria, rather than just mingling by your own set of friends. Following this thread since it first post by Heaven, I also notice atleast 90% of you guys haven't played Guild wars before and therefore are very confused about the game. Theres always the FAQ to read, it talks about all the stuff you ask. Why ask here when you can go there (look for it in the first post by Heaven). Furthermore, if you wanna talk about purchasing a copy. Please don't debate about where you get yours from since I believe (or hope to) that everyone thats in here has a copy ready for launch either physical or digital. It defeats the purpose of having a GW 2 community since we aren't here to debate on Prices. Lastly, there are those who wish to stay in Sea of Sorrow. I understand why some of you would like to go to other servers, however do not question those who choose to stay (I am one of them) I know I live in Malaysia and therefore I know I'm gonna suffer from lag issues....I don't live under the sea nxt to the USA therefore why should I complain...correct? In that regard, some of you who want to go to smaller servers please do so. THe reason for having many servers is to make players be competitive and observant of thier community (the players in the server). So don't compare on who gets into WvWvW and who doesn't. I can honestly say that subject is completely incoherent, why ? Because you haven't even played THE FINAL PRODUCT. Lastly, I'll be part of a guild in GW2 called The Exiled Ones. The guild will be build around the idea of community and information exchange. With some PVP and WvWvW action. Main focus will be on PVE stories...we wanna get to the dragon asap. If anyone is interested, you can go ahead and PM me |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Jul 25 2012, 09:39 PM) So, whats wrong with comparing? You can compare it to WoW, LOTRO, RAIDERZ, Old Republic, Age of CONAN, PHANTASY STAR ONLINE (the new 1), TERA, FF14, GW (1), Champions Online, DC universe, Rusty Hearts, APB, Rift and many other MMORPGS.Diablo 3 did a lot of things wrong, and i am hoping that GW2 will not be the same as D3. If you do not compare how are you even gonna judge the strength or weakness of a game, or you are just buying the game because it called Guild Wars 2. Thier mechnics and gameplays are implemented into Gw2, they basicly copied alot of working mechanics and implemented them into GW 2 for noobs and newbies to overlook and ignore...sometimes even people without brains will argue that GW2 is the best game they ever played with it's dynamic events and shitz....saying it's unique and stuff without trying out other MMOs....But sometimes people become lazy and buy Diablo 3 and start to compare that and this.... My 2 cents: Don't compare, wait till release....play that.......EVERYONE WINS !!! PS: FUK THIS THREAD YOU ALL SUCK BALLS HOPE I NEVER SEE YOU GUYS IN GW 2 XD |

QUOTE(M1X @ Jul 28 2012, 11:02 PM) The new China-Great-Wall-of-TEXTS... Go read a bookIt's good sign anyway, shows that the game is FULL of contents. Huh? A... tomb? Where exactly is that? Human, mysterious even to their own kind. You may learn new things...especially the two GW2 books... Added on July 28, 2012, 10:56 pm QUOTE(cressalve @ Jul 28 2012, 11:35 PM) That crafting guide is quite a read. Thanks for that bro. wrong place to ask this question...try going to this link Anyhoo, just a quick question. Say that SoS will be full prior to the official launching date. Will the creation of a new character (new account to be played on launc day) be blocked/denied on that server indefinitely or will it, sometime later, be opened again for admission? Was thinking to buy another copy, this time, a physical copy for my brother to play. Still can't let go the feeling to own a physical copy eventhough I bought the digital copy lol http://www.facebook.com/MalaysianGamer#!/MalaysianGamer Repost your question, som1 will answer it.
