600kb is pretty small, any file size below 1MB is considered small

if you are using Acrobat professional 6 or above there is an option PDF Optimizer under advance, u can use that to compress your file size

play around with it setting to get the size and quality that you want

Some PDF questions?

Im new to it and everytime i inserted the text , i have to bring up the box first and then the text tool. Later i have to make the background transparent and going thru all this tedious task. Is that the way you make it?

Can PDF insert short video clips?

Thanks for those who are helpful enough.

im using adobe indesign and i wonder is this program is the way to go in designing pages of PDF document. I find it little bit difficult . Ilike illustrator alot but it can only make a single page and can't insert any video clipping.

What is your opinion and the method you use before conveting to a PDF format.
thanks.

indesign is fine, i think it's more user friendly that quark but i haven't start to learn how to use indesign yet so i not sure how good izzit, but i have heard good things bout it

if you are doing artwork with more than 1 page indesign or quark is the way to go, for my work i use quark and use adobe distiller 6 to convert to pdf files, even for the final print file we'll use pdf since our overseas printer prefer that. most local printer dun use pdf though IINM

i wish illustrator can create multiple pages by now. Is it possible to create multiple pages by using third party program. The reason is because the tools are more flxible and have varities as well.
