Best is to ask shops/garage sales, in my town, all major service providers + Samsung shops cannot even see a display unit.○ Galaxy Nexus V14 ○, The Google Flagship: Now with Jelly Bean

QUOTE(acbc @ Jul 20 2012, 06:19 PM) My Nexus model is IMM76K. According to Toolkit V7.4, it is a CDMA / LTE model. So how now? Do I select IMM76I (GSM) or IMM76K (LTE)? QUOTE(mikeeeee @ Jul 20 2012, 06:23 PM) how is it possible your Nexus is CDMA/LTE if you are using it here in Malaysia with local operators ? Actually yakjuxw (and maybe all non-yakju) shows up as CDMA/LTE, just flash it to yakju and it'll be fine.Don't know if is it done purposely by Samsung......to screw Gnex... |

QUOTE(vernon91 @ Jul 22 2012, 03:49 PM) even thought toolkit is so convenient and easy to use, i still prefer do it manually......i love typing codes. Yes, of course we old folks can use whatever that we want. For newbies, using Toolkit is much easier to teach than typing adb, almost Zero problem if they read properly. |

Lots of people reporting back Juice Defender doesn't save but waste your battery... not sure about ultimate coz I didn't have it. |

QUOTE(philynn @ Jul 22 2012, 10:33 PM) Well, I had a series of bad experience with the phone, not sure what caused it though. Seems like you got a faulty unit... go get it checked in Samsung SCI was jogging with the phone with earphones plugged in using the nike app, and suddenly it crashed (screen hangs and the music playing keeps reloop). I wrapped the phone in a ziploc bag to ensure that no moisture can go into the phone, and i double checked the ziploc bag later to find that no sign of moisture ever entered the bag. So back to the phone, once it crashed, i had to pull battery to shut it off. After that, my device will boot to show that I have 0% battery and shut down right after that. After several tries, it wouldn't even boot pass the google screen. But i noticed that whenever i slot the battery in, the notification light will bilnk in red at various pace. Tried rebooting alot of times, then tried boot into recovery mode and wipe data and tried again. Finally it boots and I managed to make it work again. But another problem still entrails. The phone thinks that my earphone is perpetually plugged in. Therefore all my media sounds do not work - eg. phone call can only work via loudspeaker, music player don't play, youtube don't play, notification sounds do work though. Those sounds that do not work will come through when i plug in my headphones though. So i did a series of reset bla bla bla and finally it worked again. Then i started to notice that the battery life of the phone became worse. Initially i was able to get through a day without any problem at all, with at least 20% battery left. Now, my phone will become dead by 3-4pm. Tried recalibrating the battery, improved a lil bit. so i suspect is the kernel's fault - so thats why I want to flash it back to stock kernel and hope for the best. Oh and 1 more thing, my USB connection does not work (no response from any computer after plugged in) since the fiasco, until 2 days ago, when i plugged in the USB cord, the connection worked but it keeps connects and disconnect. |

QUOTE(tskeat03 @ Jul 24 2012, 03:15 PM) I heard from the phone seller this model is going to discon but don't now is it true or not. I had sources said that Samsung don't want to sell Gnex, sellers can't get stock anymore.Asking if fresh the rom to "yakju", is the Samsung Waranty void? QUOTE(cravingstar @ Jul 24 2012, 10:24 PM) Isee. But other UI can be deleted with custom roms right? I ditched viber just now... really slow on updates and always incompatible with new android versions (ICS & JB)Btw what is bricked? hang/could not turn on? how about soft bricked? what are the chances it will happen while flashing or rooting? Can fix ownself or have to send to samsung centre? just saw that jelly bean is incompatible with Viber.. planning to use that to call my overseas friend. hmmmm Use Google Hangout, Skype better. |
