Frequent flashers/modders I'd like to have some suggestions from you.
I'd want to 'pre-install' apps those I use extensively e.g. WhatsApp, Battle.net Authenticator, Dropbox etc into a ROM; maybe AOKP or Jellybro. This save me several MBs every time I flash my GNex with a different ROM. I flashed almost 20x since I received my GNex yesterday.
I used to do it during HTC Hero time where I just drag and drop files with 7-Zip and sign.
Any idea how to do it nowadays?

I should push the app into /data/app in the custom ROM I'm baking right?

Any idea if the Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Books icons are missing from app drawer? I tried to install from Google Play but stated there the apps are installed already. I remember having them though.
Currently running Takju Jelly Bean.

Finally I have Play Movies and Play Books in app drawer without Titanium Backup or root.
I successful pulled them from /system/app/ manually with adb (failed with Galaxy Nexus Toolkit though). Then installed them into /data/app/ with Galaxy Nexus Toolkit.
The reason I did this even though they are not 100% working is I can. Having Google's official apps in the app drawer make me feel like having all three starter Pokemon.

Is there a different mirror for Jelly bro instead of Euroskank? ES mirror is super slow on my side.

I can always temporarily boot into CWM via Galaxy Nexus ToolKit. My question is that if I can safely flash it without root.
Edit: I set my contacts' pictures from Gallery in JB though. Still pixelated.

Well coming from iOS camp I hate the fact WhatsApp is still running old style. How I wish this famous app to at least use the new UI Guideline.
Now I'm missing the uniformity of iOS' UI.

Nexus ToolKit 7.5 got problem when pushing files. Easily fixed though. Do check its' original thread at XDA. Use 7.4 if you do push a lot.
7.4 uses old CWM recovery though. Update yourself by downloading them from CWM website, replace the old recovery inside \recover\ folder.

Us newbies surely appreciate the usefulness of the toolkit. I use it a lot.

I used CM10 before. But then the camera app can't auto-focus. Back to stock.

Hay guise any idea how to perm remove the triple dot down below? I hate it so much because that triple dot will bring up the ugly old UI.
