Hi guys,

I'm looking to do some ancestors prayers this coming July month. Any good recommendation temple in PJ?

I'm not looking for those monks from tibets. Buddhist or Taoist is ok for me.

oh thanks. i know about this temple, but it's Thai based. since i'm doing prayers for my ancestors, i'm thinking to stick back to taoist/buddhist temple instead.

i was going to tell you that too but since you knew about it so its ok.

for buddhist temple, you can try slightly further like sentul or even brickfields. i would recommend brickfields because its much nearer to you perhaps and it is also quite reputable.

for taoist temple, actually there are not many around pj either or maybe i wouldn't know. however, there is also one that i usually go which is located at jalan pasar.

for kuan yin temple, there is only a place i know of which is located at changkat bukit bintang.

yea, i stay in PJ. so am thinking of some place more convenient.

Where is this temple in brickfields? name and phone?

where in jalan pasar? name and phone?

bukit bintang is very crowded. so i guess it's fine. i know a temple near KLCC and quite famous, but forgotten the name as well.

brickfield: http://www.stsite.com/vihara/

jalan pasar is a very small temple along the shoplots. it is something that i used to go since young. you wouldn't be interested
http://maps.google.com.my/maps?hl=en&q=jal...F-8&sa=N&tab=il

the kuan yin temple is not at bukit bintang. its behind changkat bukit bintang. its quiet, its huge and it has its own designated carpark.

Can try Sau Seng Lam in Petaling Jaya Old Town.

Poh Lum on Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya.

Both also have prayers for the departed in the upcoming Hungry Ghost Festival.
