If you are looking for good sounding IEM under RM 50, try this!

QUOTE
There’s no clear winner here. For me personally, despite its midrange peak, I still prefer the CK-700 for its deeper bass, better detail and more sparkley treble (which makes songs like “Inna - Amazing” and “Magnetic Man – Getting Nowhere” just that much more fun). I can see many preferring the less flawed, warmer, more flat sounding (akin to commercial Hi-Fi) SHE3580 though.

QUOTE
These are the best bang for the buck cheapies of all time.

If you want good sound and don't want to spend anything, get a pair. They do have a good overall sound. I do not think that the bass is overdone. They go very low and do encroach a wee bit on the mids though. Separation is excellent for such an inexpensive product.

QUOTE
I find the bass on these quite strong even coming from Hippo VB. They really thump deep with intense punch and lower sub bass. There were tracks the CK700 did better than my Monster Turbine and SHE3580 in the low end. I agree on the highs they can become slightly piercing at higher volumes, and the mids sound a little thin.

End of the day the CK700 are right up there in the budget category providing overly decent sound for the money.

QUOTE
If I were to describe the sound signature, I would say its; very full bodied, very bassy, very detailed. Lively and forward. Not very warm at all. CX300esque.

This IEM just seems to do everything right. Lots of powerful, yet tight bass that goes deep, a beautiful, crystal-clear midrange, sparkly, well defined and extended treble, and a surprisingly wide soundstage!

My personal review:

Plug it to my iPod Touch, what can I say? Forget about Sonic Gear, Sensonic, even low range iem of Philips, Sony, Panasonic, this is the iem you are going to buy if you don't plan to spend rm 100 and above for iem.

However I don't get good isolation (as always, my ears are special tongue.gif) will try to fit with comply later see if it will increase the isolation. smile.gif

Thanks TS for bringing this good product to Lowyat Net.

Update 1: Pair it with comply and amp up with E7, seal improved, sound stage improved, bass improved. V sharp sound sig very suitable for pop, dance, modern music.

However, built quality is a problem, I start getting unbalanced sound or right side sound totally gone, I have to twist, turn and adjust the cable to get it back....sad.gif Or maybe is just me unlucky...

So in summary, sound wise 4 out of 5 stars, built quality 2 out of 5 stars. (please be reminded, maybe I am just the unlucky one...) smile.gif

Update 2: After burned-in, the unbalanced sound seems gone as well as the wiring issue, weird but who cares? Finally I got a proper working pair finally. The sound did improved after burned-in, high more controlled and bass more deep. Now it become my 'before go to sleep' iem, I do not worry if they will break if I ter-sleep on them accidentally cause they are soooo cheappppp whistling.gif

OK I shall increase the built quality from 2 stars to 4 stars. nod.gif

it is usual for low build quality earphone to eventually lose one side of the channel.
the problem could be caused by bad cable to jack connection, bad cable to driver connection or faults in the cable(folded, maybe?)
*
Or maybe mis-handling during shipping LOL!

Well, it still works, just need some patient to adjust it properly. smile.gif

this is where the law
"what you pay is what you get"
applied,
have been using budget pmp (cube c30)~
for 1 week was proud to have it~
but i change my mind totally when it broke down after within 1week usage about 10 hours only@@
thats why i stop hunting for low price audio equipment~
Not to discriminate that all low price thingy are not good~
but for the sake of avoiding problem~ i would rather play safe biggrin.gif

I think I am the only bad luck one, seems nobody is complaining on this issue sad.gif
