I also got the letter 2 days ago, that's a bad new as previously insurance payment is 5x treat point which equivalent to around 2.5% rebate, moreover insurance payment (especially saving plan) usually is a huge amount of money.
I think Maybank taking this step is to minimize their cost.
Btw, today I called up their customer service to redeem my 10k treat point to offset the RM50 government tax.
The guy said they need to take 2 to 3 weeks to process this, and request me to make the RM50 payment by myself first to avoid late payment.
Is that true?
