I ask my relative again and he said his amex card is not under a bank. It's independent, fully AMEX card. He canceled it after informed to pay the fee. It was a few years ago.

N-years ago I don't know.. but now.. All Malaysia-issued AMEX cards are all from Maybankard. (correct me if i'm wrong)

if they charged
1) if you have enough TP at then (which you currently not), please call to helpline then ask for offset, and still pay the RM50 (to avoid due after grace period), sometime it take longer to offset
2) if you not enough, just pay..

cash advance not retail purchase. cash advance interest start from the day you take the money, 18% p.a. not sure will other retail transaction get interest.

Hey guys, i got a very strange transaction on the same day:
15-Sep-2012 (Trxn Date) / 15-Sep-2012 (Posting Date)
SERVICE TAX - PRINCIPAL (LOCAL).    RM50.00 DR

15-Sep-2012 (Trxn Date) / 15-Sep-2012 (Posting Date)
PAID SERVICE TAX (LOCAL) RM50.00 CR

May i know what is this transaction about? Do i have to pay anything?
*
this is the service tax (GST) charged for your AMEX, however, all Maybankard 2 Cards AMEX GST will be bear by bank, so they pay the RM50 already. but, if see at your Visa/Mastercard, that RM50 you need to pay

did you not click on my link where I posted an image where it stated the limit and I even repeated it in writing? Max 2 Transaction per day.
*
bro, i know 2 transaction per day, from your link, but this doesn't show how many available to grab (where most of other got say, eg: 1st 10k tickets only). and source is i never see from maybank website. from there i presume all Visa from maybank is available (where cherry card also considered)

not going cinema yet, so didn't try

Hi Pals, I'm holding a Maybank Petronas cc now, would like to ask,
I pump petrol on 24 Nov (RM30), and my next statement due date is on 4 Dec.
if I never pay this RM30 after the due date, will the bank charge me interest/late payment charge ?
*
your due date is 4 Dec, mean your statement date is 14 Nov (20 days grace period)

mean, all transaction that posted up to 14 Nov is need to pay before 4 Dec.
no interest or late charge for any transaction posted after 14 Nov (the transaction need only pay before 4 Jan for all transaction up to 14 Dec)

well, this is true only if you have no outstanding before.

"Eligible Merchants" refers to any merchant whose trading premises are enlisted in the "21 Participating Shopping Malls" and who accepts American Express Credit & Charge Cards.

why does it takes so long?  blink.gif
also how about total income calculation? if basic+allowance total more than 5k can apply platinum?
*
i have mine in month 3 and get in 60 minutes +
gross pay >5000 consistently (mean allowance actually is fixed allowance)
but, gold and platinum seems no big differ (other than travel insurance and some special platinum privilege) since all them give 5% (weekend) and 5x TP
