Hmm... Received a surprise call from Maybank today.

Caller: Good evening. I'm XXX calling from Maybank. You card has arrived at Maybank XXX and is ready to be collected.
Me: blink.gif What card?!?!
Caller: Your credit card?
Me: Oh... K... blink.gif

Ever since my last rejected application (which I didn't know why) in July, I made a request to my company for my monthly salary to be deposited into my Maybank account (which was quite dormant then) instead of into my other bank account. Was thinking to reapply maybe next month or later so that I can have 3 months of sufficiently great transaction records in my Maybank account to show (my previous application I showed my other bank account statements too). Mana tau... laugh.gif

Will go collect tomorrow and hopefully it's the Maybankard 2 I wanted (i.e. Master, not Visa)! Fingers crossed I do not have to go through the trouble of reapplying.

you did not re-apply for the credit card but they just called?

mine was rejected too without any reasons given

Yea, did not re-apply. They did not even call to ask if I still want them, the cards just arrived and I was called to collect.

What happen to me is when you got rejected and you call in and talked to the CS. They might write in on your behalf to appeal.
For example, my plat upgrade was rejected due to "Salary" issues. I called and complaint. No news until a week or 2 later I saw my new cards appear in MB2U.

I did write in myself to appeal after my first rejection but was unsuccessful too. My cards came in roughly 2 months after my first application.

That's great news. Means upon payment, it will free up my credit limit immediately for the same amount.

Yea. Was at the petrol station last night. First swipe, couldn't go through, then remembered I must have exceeded my credit limit. Went into the convenience store, logged into M2U using my mobile, a few taps here and there, went out again and second swipe, voila, just in time for extra 5% weekend cash back! thumbup.gif

received 100 cashback (not monthly cash rebate) yesterday. wonder what is tat.. anyone got it?

I received it too! Could it be new card activation offer? But I read it's only from 2 July 2012 to 30 September 2012. I think my card got activated after that date. But anyway, thanks for the money Maybank! thumbup.gif
