Anybody ever use Maybank Amex to pay Allianz insurance?

AFAIK, they only accept MasterCard or Visa.

Guys, if I were to change from Maybank 2 card Gold to Platinum, I applied for the Gold in Sept last year, will I be charged another RM50 of GST straight away or only at the next billing cycle ie next Sept?

U would want to time it about abit over one month before expiry, u start apply platinum. U would not want ur plat to only arrive a few weeks after ur gold expired. Then kena bayar Lagi one time for gold.

Can anyone clarify how this is suppose to work?

At the moment I am a Maybank Petronas Gold Card Holder. I would like to upgrade to the Maybankard 2 Cards and at the same time terminate my existing Petronas Gold Card. Would a simple call to the CC Centre notifying them of my intention suffice? Would like to heard from them who manage to do it.

I would hate to re-do the application forms, submitting all the supporting documents etc again.

I was wondering the same when the AMEX RM100 no news on it.

Someone will definitely win it, just that it won't be me because I do to have any Maybank MasterCard

And before anyone says that only people from a certain race stand a chance of winning this German car, let me remind all that CIMB Bank had a few similar promotions last year and the years before. The winners were made up of Malays and Chinese. And there was another win an expensive car from another bank not so long ago and it was an Indian guy who won it


Maybank sent out flyers last year to some of their Maybankard 2 AMEX card holders to get people to use their AMEX more frequently and in return, they will award them with a free RM10 Starbucks voucher. We didn't receive the promised RM10 Starbucks until a year later, that is about two months ago.

Yes I understand they do publish out the winners ... but still ... who can make sure those are genuine? Could be some guy from Maybank's marketing team lol. Until my friends/family or myself win it, I'll never believe it .. same goes with all those jackpot from toto and stuff haha .... yes yes I'm a pessimist it's just me haha .. ignore me

My friend's brother won a Toyota Vios before and my dad's not so close friend won Toto jackpot before.
