QUOTE(kctan_ @ Apr 9 2016, 11:01 PM) Today i do speedtest. My line is upgraded from 10mbps to 50mbps now. So, at the end of the day, even with the upgrade, you're still paying RM149+GST for your broadband, but it's half the speed - 50Mbps vs 100Mbps - that Time Fibre Broadband subscribers are getting? Ah well, at least it's still something, I guess. Still Astro 1 IPTV subscribers 0 then. You probably want to find out how soon you can decouple your broadband from your Astro. I hope they didn't refresh your contract just for the half upgrade.

QUOTE(kctan_ @ Apr 10 2016, 06:38 PM) The speed is back to 10mbps now. Probably Time is testing something. Hope soon Time will permanently upgrade for real. Or... Maxis, the other broadband provider for Astro IPTV, raised an objection because it made them look bad.

QUOTE(zerko @ Apr 14 2016, 12:55 PM) If your contract is already over my recommendation is to CANCEL Astro. That way maybe their "in discussion" can end. Nearly one month and still in discussion ! After all, one month later can still subscribe back and they give you new equipment/ free one month and maybe by then cheaper with better internet speed. Nothing to lose except maybe one month no Astro. The 'discussion' never started. Even if TIME is willing to upgrade the speeds, Astro will never let it happen because their other ISP is Maxis, and Maxis is not capable of offering identical speeds for the same price. There will be too much noise coming from Maxis Astro IPTV subscribers if the TIME ones get much faster speeds for the same price. Also, Astro and Maxis are under the same corporate umbrella, so they'll always stick to the same agenda.
