Hi mr yngwie smile.gif , how are u? are u still in sabah?

remember the last time i ask your opinion about GSD3 & i enjoyed the using the tire..but now it cant handle in heavy rain was thinking which one (maxxis ipro or goodyear GSD5) i should invest.

OoOo...will check with kcng about it.

thanks smile.gif

Added on July 21, 2012, 12:49 pmJust to add in some info, read some review this maxxis ipro is the best bang for buck, cause the performance is second best with bridgestone adrenalin re001.

Not yet as i still in unsure situation which one to buy. In jb i got qouted rm310 per side, the cheapest i could get.

I found a reviews said the maxxis ipro thread is last 43k km on TS ride..that fair enough for me but like you im in considering hankook v8rs also. This hankook im using at my wife naza sutera..bought 2008 until now is still serve well, no crack or bulge whatsoever.

The grip in dry & wet is good, very good compare with goodyear nct & kumho ku31 for 14" size. But it have soft sidewall coz if i push hard in corners it started to 'lean' a bit..but still taking corner like it on rails.

Do your know the hankook v8rs price for 205/50/16?

For me..a GSD3 user, its quite quiet tires & my wife naza use for short distance only so the thread still have 80%. But i have friend use V8 on his waja said it also didnt last long, maybe due his driving style IMO. But for mild usage it guess no prob covering 50k km. Nexen also said to be fast wear if use on heavy machine..but how heavy i dont know.

What ride u on?

Hehehe...no problem bro. Btw Advan DB is consider what tire? UHP or comfort? My wife ask me if can change to silent tire cause she can sleep better when travel long distance. But i dont want to lose performance also. PS3 price surely is out of my hand.

On yokohama's pamphlet, advan db is rated higher than s drive. And s drive isn't a bad tyre aside from it's horrible noise. I would even say that s drive dry grip almost matches re002. So if yokohama rates it higher than I'm drooling to try it. Advan DB supposed to be the most comfort performance tyre from yokohama. Higher up would be advan sport, but it's sure would not be quite and cheap. According to the yokohama's pamphlet la. I'm itching to try it and see would it be better grip than re002. If it's on par with re002 dry grip than it's the best choice for performance out there. Since re002 loses in wet grip against all uhp tyres that i have tried. Re002 is noisy too after some mileage.

instead of i-pro why dont try source out for Maxxis Victra MA-Z1...

performs a whole lot better compared to i-pro with price difference only RM10...but yes nowadays it is quite difficult to get the MA-Z1...

So far, not very quite but smooth in cornering. I think it is a little bit over weight sweat.gif I meant heavy because I need to pump petrol 2 times 1 week... doh.gif

Yeah im found this tire too..review on website it have very good review, even some user give 100% mark on all aspect.

I had PM a forumer regarding Neuton NT8000 he just bought from Nestum said compare with my GSD3, the NT8000 have better comfort, lower brake distance & low noise tire. But the way he telling me to search other hard sidewall tire i guess the NT8000 have soft side wall which is good for comfort. But not hard cornering & it might have slow tyre feedback.

But there some soft side wall tire are good at cornering like example the famous PS3.

I still dont now bro what tire to buy but my decision now towards to Goodyear F1 Directional 5.

I'm using Maxxis iPro..but stock std size 195/55/15

The tyres are great once you break in..the grip is good whether rain or shine and its much quieter than the stock Silverstones that came with the car.

So far, only did 10,000KMs on them and didn't notice much fade, so should hold up well.

Btw, anyone had any experience with GT Radial? Did a read up, seems like kinda ok tyres if budget is a concern.

Running on 215/50/R17 Maxxis I-pro .. did about 3k mileage so far.. This tyre has some decent gripping in wet and dry, noise level a bit high probably due to it being a traction AA tyre.. quite satisfied with it so far.. but I probably will go for a different brand during the next tyre change

Just bought neuton nt8000 for my ride size 205/50/16. Price in jb was steep at rm 250 per pc. But i dont have a choice so i have to take it. Not worth the money to save for changing tire at klang coz my old gsd3 were badly worn. In klang can get rm190 per tire my size.

just bought Maxxis I-pro tyre size 205/55/R16 yesterday. RM260 per pc at Hock Li klang. Worth it to buy..I am use Falken 522 before and found that Maxxis I pro is more quiet compare to falken.

instead of i-pro why dont try source out for Maxxis Victra MA-Z1...

performs a whole lot better compared to i-pro with price difference only RM10...but yes nowadays it is quite difficult to get the MA-Z1...
