Dood...it's a Soldam. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Comparing Soldam and Lian Li are like comparing a Bugatti Veyron and a 3 series coupe respectively.

lol lots of fans for a micro ATX tongue.gif But still there are rooms for everything that anyone might need, good design indeed.

As for pricing, I normally don't bother to ask lol Even if I have the money, I rather get an Athlon FX CPU than spending on this tongue.gif

Well...some ppl like 1000hp skylines while some ppl like Bentley GT's.

To each their own..

This chasis is more suited towards an older audience...paired with a pentium-m or core duo.

Same here, i thought the casing was RM56,000 just to realize that its a warning for 56k

IMO, this casing looks plain and normal from the outside. I prefer something more "fanciful" laugh.gif

the concept of this casing is amazing.. 2 layer Alu panel to channel air tot he correct location AND for sound dampening.. I am looking into a Core Duo system with a mATX mb and wacking the drive bays with 500GBs HDs and replace my Full tower Lian Li.. biggrin.gif

but now i see presler i also itchy liaoz... looking into getting Asus 975 Mb with presler 930 biggrin.gif

Design's not just about having a flashy look dood... the design of this chassis is much more interesting than the Antec P180.

Instead of taking airs from the front (noisy and ugly) like other casings or from the sides like the P180...this fella has 2 layers of side panel so it channels fresh air from behind to the intake fan in front.

This means no direct path for sound to travel and having double layer side panel means double the sound insulation (something like double glazing window)

That's the interesting part.

why come to Case Mod forum? this items is casing but not modding lah..sad.gif
modding this will be too painful. sad.gif

The design of this casing.. please do "study" it a bit more. very interesting one as SOTR has pointed out. What I do not understand is why leave the space between the PSU and Optical drive un-used biggrin.gif

their older casing they had 3 x HDs pay installed.. which iwas way cool. But cooling them means more fans.

Yeah I've also been thinking that the main forum Casing Modification is just not right. Not all topics are modding stuffs. Maybe can change the name to Chassis/Case/Enclosures, just to name a few.

Aiyar...space limitation mar...so throw all casing related stuff here lor.

The design is damn interesting lar..if it works...this one you have to report later ler.

On the downside, its not very space efficient hence the rather cramp interior and the minimalist approach...only 2 x 5" bays which is really enough except for the 5" bay bling bling crowd and lotsa HDD bays.

the way the hdd is stacked up...possible to make a mini server?

in terms of airflow wise, should be alright..with all the fans...agree? wont overheat right with that cramped interior..

well it is after all a mATX Casing...
I believe 5.25" bays too many also messy. but it is a design preference i believe for this designer.

IF you look into the URL I posted you will find that THEY have a Test report on this system cooling.. biggrin.gif knowing Japanese helps biggrin.gif

but google is always very friendly

bill go up also not that much la. me using 7 HD but separate PSU. will cost a bit more in electric bill. but not till sky rocket.

anyway nice casing, but lousy air flow. the cramp environment, the IDE cables and all the other power cables will intefere with the flow of air. not to mention the noisy fan since they need to push the air harder.

it is indeed the sexiest casing for PC...

but the sleekiest design goes to G5... even after nearly 3 yrs, it's still an eye catcher...

the air-flow for G5 was also quite ingenius i may say. but it's not designed for PC...

so, should i assume that this casing is made-in-japan by the writings in the ad?

On the contrary...if you look at it properly....I think this is gonna be one of the quietest casing around. They really paid a lot of considerations into the airflow and accoustic. It's much more complicated than the average case but damn its cool.

These japs are nuts!!
