What's New at IKEA FAMILY

Get 3x Birthday Bonus Points
From June 2012 onwards, all Permanent IKEA FAMILY members will get 3x Bonus on your first transaction when you shop at the IKEA store on your Birthday month. For existing friends members, remember to activate your IKEA FAMILY membership and update your Date of Birth to ensure you get to enjoy this perk. See store for details.

This promotion does not apply for purchases made while in Temporary Membership status, even if it is the first transaction made on the Birthday Month.

10% discount voucher for converted friends-FAMILY members
For existing friends members, you would be receiving your IKEA FAMILY Welcome Pack by end May 2012. It would include a 10% discount voucher that is valid until 1 July. Remember to activate your IKEA FAMILY membership before 1 July in order to use the voucher. See store for details.

Activate your new IKEA FAMILY card
To activate your IKEA FAMILY membership, just login at the in-store kiosk or click here.
Please login with your 16-digit FAMILY membership number (no spacing required) and the Temporary Password given in the Welcome Letter.
Once you have logged in, you'll be prompted to update your personal particulars and change your Date of Birth. That will be your permanent login password.
If card activation is done in the store, you'll be able to use it immediately. If card activation is done online, you'll only be able to use it the next day at the IKEA store.

Yes and No.
IKEA FAMILY is not a credit card.
It's a loyalty card to collect Bonus Points.
The points can be use to redeem IKEA Cash voucher. 500 points = RM5 voucher.
You also enjoy free coffee/soft drink at the IKEA Restaurant.

3. Temporary Card holders need to spend min. RM200* within 1 year from the date of registration in order to activate the full & permanent IKEA FAMILY membership. Failure to do so will render termination of the account and all Bonus Points earned. <--- does this mean after 1 year only we can "enroll" ourselves to become permanent member? or whichever comes earlier as long as we manage to spend RM200?

If you don't spend RM200 within 1 year from Registration Date...the temporary membership is terminated. Without temporary membership, how to become permanent ?

Converted to Permanent Lifetime Membership, the moment you hit RM200 (anytime within 1 year from date of registration) with your Temporary Card.
