Does resetting the trip meter interfere with the Service mileage tracker ?
I never bothered trying. Too scared it'll mess with it

I'm very sure you are poisoned now.
I had the same experience. Was driving Kenari previously. Hand itchy went to test drive a Polo, man that little puny car can corner at 170kmph and still rock solid, totally planted. Over the next few days, I test drove Golf TSI and again Polo TSI. Now happily driving one VW |

Hahaha... erm.. Kinda big jump
Have you tested Polo? Go try. Personally, pickup wise, I feel Polo is more responsive when you step the pedal, and Golf is slightly slower (this could be less than a second) and perhaps this is due to Golf being slightly heavier. Figure wise, Golf did 0-100 in 8 seconds while Polo did it in 9 second plus. Hence, the feeling above is just feel rather than actual fact. However, there's few things about Golf that makes you should consider it instead of Polo. Xenon Headlights, auto rain sensor, auto headlights, bigger boot, rear air conditioning, automated side mirror and auto folding. Go compare the brochure side by side and suddenly you will realize Polo features is slightly less, although that is something you ought to live with, as the price difference is a lot. I won't ask you to pick which one, but I'll ask you consider finance and ask yourself what do you want! Go test it both again Edit: Oh ya, Golf has a front parking sensor and Polo doesn't I can estimate but still I would prefer some sensor to help me to maximize the space in front and behind the car to the max, rather than keep asking myself, eh can go forward more or not? Myvi full tank about RM60 right? Ron 95?
My car full tank RM80, Ron 95. I am easily getting above 500km full tank. Once reached 600++km mixture of 60% highway and normal road. Left with a little more than quarter tank just now, done 450km, should get around 550 - 580km this time I have seen some fella doing 700++km and some claiming 900++km (with photos). However while it is achievable, it is not easy to do so, realistically you can expect 450 to 650km, depending on where you are driving and your driving style |

QUOTE(everclear @ Jul 22 2012, 08:11 AM) Wah take corners at 170km/h with polo. I've not tried taking a corner with my golf above 120. But then there're many types of corners. Or are you driving a Polo GTI with stiffer suspension? I do feel quite a bit of body roll in a corner with Golf TSI. kekekeke, not sharp 90 degre or 180 degree corners, those high speed corners that you can take at 150 above if you take your line properly (provided no car behind and in front of you). That was tried on a test drive Polo, which amazed me to the max. As for my own PGTI, I only take at 110 or 120, got no balls yet to push to the max |

QUOTE(mr_fazz @ Sep 15 2012, 07:23 AM) I wanna ask something especially with polo sport owner.. Not sure on polo sport. But for my polo it would auto lock after above certain speed, 20-30 i suspect...is is the door wont lock automatically when we drive?? try leave it unlocked and then drive above the speed and see if it is locked. One thing though, even if it is locked, you can still open the door from inside. I've even tried opening the door when driving ... still can be opened. This is their safety feature. If you have kids, child lock is an option/workaround. Hope that helps |

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Jan 7 2013, 04:37 PM) Thanks for sharing Didn't know there's different spec :S QUOTE Just wanna ask, is there any GOLF TSI (Candy White) stock left in the whole malaysia? This is rather hard to answer, probably can't give you a definite answer, plenty of showroom in Malaysia, numbers are listed on VW website, why don't you ring all of them and ask? Golf TSI Mark 6, used DSG 7 Speed Dry Clutch. This unit is prone to mechatronic problem, not just an issue in Malaysia but worldwide.
The same unit is being used in Mark 7 which you test drove. Some people claimed the supercharger was dropped to prevent this issue, but honestly I didn't buy it. Time will tell (put it 6-9 months) before we maybe see a unit of brand new Golf started having this issue |
