Castrol Pro Edge 5W40 got promotion. Buy outside 4L for 4 times, get one 4L free! Makes sense to buy your own and bring to SC! Or even for topping up at home!

Where do you get this offer from? Genuine Oil?

I have to get it soon for 5k service interval (own service)... Any recommendation if Oil filter to be changed as well? FYI, this will be my first 5k service outside because VW will only service for every 15k interval
thankyou

Do you all pump your tyre according to VW spec? According to the spec, my Passat SE 18" will need minimum 240 (don't' know what is the equivalent of psi)

Just had my first 5k service outside the VW service center... Called them on Friday to ask if there's available slot for service but I was told that their appointments are full for the whole week so, just tried my luck and ask would it be okay to service outside VW SC? and the answer was "Oh, engine oil... can... no problem. Just make sure you come back before 15k first service".

So I went to VW SC to get the original parts (not sure issit expensive or not):

1 x plug - RM9
1 x washer - RM9
1 x oil filter - RM72
Total - RM90

That's all, no question asked. follow up by my own red line 5w40... Afterall, I'm quite satisfied with red line engine oil... really can feel the engine is smoother although it's just clocked at 5000 KM

Not too sure if I wanna try the Mobil 1 0w40 or Shell Helix 5w40 because its very cheap @ Tesco

Volkswagen to recall 6,000 cars in Singapore to fix gearbox flaw

Volkswagen, the third bestselling car brand here, is recalling more than 6,000 cars in Singapore - representing 35 per cent of the Volkswagen population here - to fix a gearbox problem that may lead to power loss.

The German marque told The Straits Times that it will recall 6,181 vehicles fitted with its popular seven-speed double-clutch gearbox from tomorrow.

The exercise - its largest here - follows a recall of more than 384,000 vehicles in China last month to fix the same problem.

A Volkswagen Group Singapore spokesman said the recall is a "voluntary recall and not a safety issue".

What is Malaysian market share compare to other Asian countries? I'm sure China will be No. 1 and I assume we have more VW customer than Singapore... Perhaps?
