QUOTE(Xirality @ Jul 22 2012, 12:36 AM) Polo no Xenon headlights!? The turbo and supercharger makes the 1.4 engine a little more alive. I have driven that engine without the turbo and supercharger, and its extra super duper slow!I thought the difference isn't that big but now it's really BIG My dad friend which is the boss of Volkswagen dealer keep poisoning me! I wonder is that turbo makes it powerful |

QUOTE(speedbird90 @ Aug 1 2012, 08:46 PM) Sounds like a good piece of advice dude. +1 to you! Lets just say that when I sold off my Golf, the depreciation was around 30%Don't know man, SA told me continental cars depreciate approx 10% of it's selling price every year. So if you decide to sell it after 5 years, that's 50% gone! Wow |

QUOTE(hapeace @ Aug 4 2012, 05:51 PM) My previous CLK use rm500++ dry batt only. That will last around 2 years. Dunno that vw batt very expensive QUOTE(IluvProton @ Aug 4 2012, 06:04 PM) Thats the price quoted from the dealer, most of the time, prices from the dealers are usually quite high. QUOTE(carpathia @ Aug 5 2012, 10:51 AM) i recalled TOP GEAR reviewed the scirocco before and it was bad...underpowered and the price do not justify it Yeah it was the Scirocco diesel at the time. They have plenty of diesel variants for the Scirocco over there from the 3-cylinder diesel to the 2.0 TDI variant. |

QUOTE(zakdelaroka @ Aug 7 2012, 09:15 PM) Could be just a single turbocharged 1.4 without the supercharger. They are already using this engine on the current Golf Mk6 just that in Malaysia we don't have that option. |

QUOTE(speedbird90 @ Aug 9 2012, 10:04 PM) Same issue, about the way the throttle takes a second to react in slow traffic. I guess it's a DSG thing, My friend on the mk5 gti commented the same. Few other friends on the mk6 gti and tsi also commented the same even after software update. Actually it has nothing to do with the DSG gearbox. It is due to the fact now that your foot pedal is electronic, not like your usual fly by wire throttle. Because it is electronic, there will be a slight delay as when you press on your pedal and it goes to the ECU and then to the engine. Happens to a lot of the conti cars. A lot of people don't face this so much when they remap their cars or when they use Sprint Booster on their VW.It takes a little getting used to I guess, might be a flaw, but overall still an awesome car to me. Hm, I just bought a Golf Tsi one week plus, only 1100km on it. So far loving every bit of it except the 1st and 2nd gear slow reaction especially moving from a red traffic light. |

QUOTE(Jim.tan @ Sep 12 2012, 11:48 PM) >.> Sorry to hear that.. but what was your problem? If you don't mind sharing Sparkplug, coilpack, misfiring, throttle body wasn't at optimum level, mechatronic, DSG juddering. The one that did the trick was having my car at the SC for a whole month because the SA who attended to me went on training and didn't update the status or even inform me of any news. |

QUOTE(blugear @ Sep 21 2012, 06:12 AM) Question: I have never seen plastic bags in the bonnet before, beercans, yes but not plastic bag. Can you snap a picture of it? It shouldn't be there unless when you were driving and your car accidentally "ate" themAny of u guys open your hood for polo and found plastic bags shoved on the left and right corner.. I only noticed yesterday. If viewing from front of the car, on the left side, it is just beside the cool-en fluid box. Another way of locating it is just behind the head lamps to the side. Any idea why they put the plastic there? I didn't remove it because afraid it has some use... |

QUOTE(replymela @ Sep 29 2012, 05:02 PM) It really depends on your schedule as well as the service center's schedule. I doubt that they still have a 1 month wait to service your car, as long as you make the proper arrangement and schedule you should be able to service your car within at least 2 weeks. There are quite a number of service centers (for VW) in Klang Valley so it all depends on your own preferences. Think about it, how often you service your car compare to how much time you get to enjoy your new ride! |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Sep 29 2012, 07:44 PM) I know also also many VW owners are strict SG fans, but here I humbly offer start-off promotion for Opti-Coat to 2 members who knows of this product and wished to get it done. Yup I also am a fan of opti coat and the other Optimum products. OPC is a damn good cleaner! |

QUOTE(pjkl @ Oct 15 2012, 11:58 AM) Not working for T&H, but have experience for non-reliable and reliable. Yes its the same, with everything else in life. Always want to have peace of mind and spend more time with family rather than spend more time to worry, go to service center, broken down here and there or broken down in the middle of the road... waste valuable time. Many AES, no point to waste $ to buy turbocharge while cannot speed fast. If want fast, then pay summon = burn $. It is everyone choice...just sharing experience. So now, do you find a wife just because she is reliable and cheap or rather a wife that you love? |

QUOTE(K5WHITE @ Oct 25 2012, 01:25 PM) gosh, dont u guys think vw pricing abit Its a pocket rocket versus a family sedan. Both to suit different markets. Initial pricing (PGTI was less than RM140k) was spot on IMHO but thanks to the new tax revision, VW go screwed over here in Malaysia.a polo gti 20k (10.5%) less than passat sports? and wats polo gti v passat ckd difference then? a small hatch v d segment? |
