QUOTE(blugear @ Sep 21 2012, 05:37 PM) 1) Did you send for engine wash before ? 2) Did you send for sound-proofing before ? If I were you, I'll try to slowly pull it out without too much force. Curious ma If cannot pull out, I'll just stuff it back in If can, I'll put aside permanently or throw away. |

QUOTE(fr0sti3 @ Sep 21 2012, 03:29 AM) one thing about uprating engine performance output, Dont the gearbox comes with torque limiter? It should and the ECU will know when to cut power.higher torque churning out from the engine can potentially kill your gearbox in the long run - wet 6 speed dsg (DQ250) on 2.0 TSI engines are rated up to 350nm passat cc r line 3.6 v6 engine is not exceeding this manufacturer limit - dry 7 speed dsg (DQ200) on TSI engine below 2.0 are rated up to 250nm polo gti & passat 1.8tsi is on 250nm i mean surely those engine can go pass this torque limit, but they want the DSG to last in the long run VW group does have better dsg box for higher torque limit (550nm) - DQ500 (transverse engine, Audi TT RS 450nm) - DL501 (longitudinal engine, Audi S4 440nm) Even if you exceed - torque limiter will cut the power as soon as you hit this. |

The latest golf tsi 1.4 comes wif sports suspension, sun roof and 17' inch. Any idea what's the diff between the sports suspension vs the previous model suspension? Is it lowered spring?

QUOTE(IluvProton @ Sep 20 2012, 07:17 PM) no comment since just 2-3 K, you got extra 10% power without disturbing your engine. actually, I am on stage 1 now. I thought at first! wah, i think i will be happy with the gain. Wont touch anymore further but as you get used to the power, you will yearn for more.why not? both as your reference. both also 20+nm and 24hp therefore is ok If we are talking about disturbing engine, i think the most intrusive to the engine would be stage 3. even stage 2, you hardly need to touch the engine. Full exhaust system and intake. HPFP optional. Btw, the more powerful it gets.. wear and tear of parts will also increase faster. |

Full exhaust system and intake. HPFP optional. Need VW Scirocco owner advise here. I am looking for hot hatch car. I test drive the 1.4TSI Roc and feel it underpowered since I've tasted the 2.0 engine from GTi. I went to VW Ipoh and they said they stop selling the 2.) Roc only left with 1.4TSI & R version. R version is totally out of my budget.
Should I get the 2.0 one from the grey importer? Or should I just buy the GTi instead? If I go down the Gti road, should I wait for the Mk7 out? Any opinion or view on this is much appreciated. |
