just saw your pics paint definitely is peel/rip of those spots, touch up paint from vw will do
but it won't be perfect smooth finish like fresh from oven

on the plus side i think that part of the car is not metal, so rust won't be an issue

I feel my polo is not so solid like the old vw's

So easy the paint peel off and body can easily be dented by slight knock..

But the driving experience is out of this world for a car at this price..

As far as I know your paint code is LA9W/1K
U can verify by checking the sticker on your door or next to your spare tire there

http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint...at-LA9W-1K.html

Can try

if not mistaken. i think mk7 launching this year as well cos i remembered salesman from vw told me so...

Golf Mk7 will be officially launched in Paris Motor show on 4th September. By the time it is readily available in European showrooms, will probably be in another 2-3 months. Add another 6-9 months before it reach Msian showrooms. The way i see it, earliest is Q2 2013. And that will be the regular Golfs. GTIs and R series is probably a year later, looking at past Golf releases.

How does VW's year end promo works. For example last year VW gave quite a good discount for certain models e.g. RM20K for the Passat. Care to explain guys? Thanks.

Mine is deep black pearl and the 12ml touch up code is 951021.

It cost RM19.90

I use match stick to touch up the small areas.

I'm not good in handling the brush.. hehe..

RM20k discount sound very attractive

Most of the time, the info I gathered from SA are Pre-reg or last yr's model with discount

Thank you so much. Roughly you are getting RM15K discount for previous year cars i.e. around 10%. Shall visit the showrooms end of the year and see how much they can give.

I guess I'm too cheapskate to own a VW? Ouch!

Pre-reg and old stock clearance happen every now and then, not necessary year end.. sometimes beginning of the year or middle of the year.. some times it appear in newspaper and just have to check it out eveynow and then..

just note that for CBU, the after discount price is not far off from new CKD model (RM170,888)..

whether to take a Pre-reg/old stock CBU or a brand new CKD is pretty much personal preference..

cheers..
