Castrol Pro Edge 5W40 got promotion. Buy outside 4L for 4 times, get one 4L free! Makes sense to buy your own and bring to SC! Or even for topping up at home!

Can bring your own engine oil to SC meh? I know it's a no no answer for VW Sg Besi. Not sure about the rest.

Where do you get this offer from? Genuine Oil?

I have to get it soon for 5k service interval (own service)... Any recommendation if Oil filter to be changed as well? FYI, this will be my first 5k service outside because VW will only service for every 15k interval
*
Oil is genuine. Can get from any official Castrol workshop. You get a scratch card. SMS message the code 4 times, you get one 4L bottle free!

About oil filter, sorry laa, my car haven't even been through a single service yet... just around 3000km.

is it true that turbo cars would consume engine oil over time ? and how often do we need to top up the engine oil in that case ? unsure.gif

anyone driving an MK7 now ? would appreciate to get some day to day driving experience smile.gif

From experience with the 1.4TSI engine, not that much engine oil consumed. Except for the Polo GTI which did have a problem whereby you would see significant drop in EO. For the 2.0 TSI engine, you would notice around 1 litre oil drop after 6000km.

Thanks for your reply blush.gif ,
If I change outside would it affect warranty? And the procedure is the same as Japanese cars?

I have the same problem with my VW Passat 1.8 TSI (CKD). I sent it to service centre and they fixed it for me.

Yesterday saw a golf stopped behind road near Turf Club Penang. Was on opposite of it and saw truck trailer ready to pick up the car.
Not sure was it gearbox issue.

Which SC? Did yours come from the roof near the rear windshield?
