Gents, any news on the CKD Jetta? Plan to own one, but was turn off by the fabric seats in current CBU unit...

i don't think CKD ones will get leather seats if the CBU already on fabrics

I thought current CBU units import from Mexico, to maintain reasonable price (still too high imho) they opted for fabric seats. but if CKD maybe they can add a trim with leather seats? yes?

wondering why no news at all as it is suppose to roll out by end of this year...

CKD usually means same specs just lower price...but they might surprise us...but unlikely

I like to ask whether maintenance for a new golf gti will be expensive if happen to own one ? Anyone pls advice

I feel the year end discount is not enough for an outgoing model actually...

but am in big dilemma between the year end Golf TSi and next years Ford Focus...

Too bad it came with the 7speed DSG. I assume this is the dry clutch gearbox. Heard so many horror stories about the 7 speed DSG. One of my friend had to replace the entire gearbox in just less than 1 year!

actually i heard problem is not the DSG, it's the supercharger that's overheating the DSG...

hence the MKVII drops the super charger for TSi, but upgrades every other model with 6 speed to 7 speed DSG...

how much you got offered for the TSI?

small difference amongst different dealers now, i'm sure some of the SA have pm-ed u ba..

didn't asked for TSI but for GTI so wondering
