No. It should not drop that much if all your apps are close. Most also 1-2% max. 13% drop is a lot while all apps are close.

The one that draining the most energy is wifi. No need to turn off your ipad, just turn off the wifi signal.

QUOTE(kennethchang @ Jul 17 2012, 09:41 AM) Does % of battery will reduce while ipad under sleep mode Is your iPad wifi only or with cellular ? SOmetimes it happens because of the poor 3G signal at your area and your ipad is constanly searching for the signal, that's why it consumes your battery even though with all your apps closed.I found that my ipad battery power drop from 41% to 28% over a night by the way i have close all to app. The best way to test it is to put on Airplane mode when u go to bed and see if it makes any diff. Yup. Maybe try putting it on flight mode tonight to see if there is difference. If still the same, do a clean restore to give it another try.
If it solves the problem than you are ok, if not its suspected hardware problem(battery). Time to send it for warranty claim. |

I suspect you have most of your Apps notification "ON", some Notifications may runs by automatic schedule to get the latest updates just like the "Push Mail" method. I will only "ON" certain Apps notification if needed but turn "OFF" most of others.

Sometimes, the battery indicator might not be that accurate especially when your ipad is with lower battery level.I have a question. Why before that not happen? For example, you leave your ipad with wifi on with 98% at the night and found out that your ipad with 97% when you wake up. If you leave your ipad with wifi on with 50% of battery in the night, u may actually found that your ipad left with 47% of battery when u wake up. This has to do with the battery indicator and it is software related. We cant exactly predict the amount of battery life left, but we DO ABLE to approximate it accurately with minimum error This post has been edited by christcwl9: Jul 18 2012, 02:06 PM |

I dont really know if this is a fact o not -,=... But from my experience the last 20% of the battery level (That is 80%-100%) took about more Time to charge while other 20% (Example 30%-50%) or (50%-70%) took less time to charge... SAME GOES to draining the battery life... 80% and above will drain at a slow rate.. while below 70% the battery will drain much faster...For example, you leave your ipad with wifi on with 98% at the night and found out that your ipad with 97% when you wake up. At least What was shown (The battery level) can be trusted and my ipad dont suddenly run out of batteries -,= |

Bro, this is because Apple implement something on it which will make the charging process faster in the early ( Before it reaches 80% ) to provide user a faster time to charge and take their idevices out.Its show that the battery charging/draining rate is not always the same.. At least What was shown (The battery level) can be trusted and my ipad dont suddenly run out of batteries -,= For the battery draining part, i am not very sure it is a fact or not, but i strongly agree that no battery monitor software is 100% accurate. Have you tried to turn off your ipad when it is 95% and when turn on back it shows 100% ? I experienced this until boring dy This is most commonly experienced by me after updated to latest firmware IOS 5.1.1. So i think Apple had to do something with the code of it about their battery level detection. SO at the end of the day, if you can get 10 Hours of straight usage, thats more than enough already |
