but u still can't fully utilize the power before runin period ....
+ u miss the fun part of modification = different between standard n mod.
what the point ?

Haha apparently the sound that is important for me not the power. ok if no harm then just w8 till 1k milage. Plus if i change to full system, it will void the warranty?

Anyone here own a 2013 636? wanted to hear the review for that bike. Might want to get it because of the price. Dream bike is r6 but zx6r looks more promising in terms of spec.

I love the bike as is but my point is that for the price that we are paying - you can get a better bike.

I myself is an old fart already, still can bend and flip upside down on a supersports. It is a matter of getting used to.

Hi sir, so what you are saying is that with the price for example 70k you can get a better supersport bike other than the 636? right now in the market i think the 636 is the most appropriate one since it is cheap then other 600 supersport. Right now the honda cbr 600 is completely out since there are so many opinion on the new design. Yamaha r6 is expensive as the price reach 80k++ where the zx6r 2013 around 70k++ otr. The eu bike is for sure will be more expensive even the agusta f3. so you think that 636 can beat r6 in a straight line? haha just a curious bystander here.

it is about straight line really....  infact i nvr like straight line, winding roads are better  biggrin.gif

anyway, i was at your position too..... but if u can save a lil more, i wld suggest for u to go zx10r cos value for money  rclxms.gif

with another RM10k top up, u get a bigger cc bike (better straight line for your case drool.gif ) and it comes with a electronics damper.

636 doesnt come with a damper.. ohlins damper for 636 is still rare and it can come out to another RM3,000..

but of course thts only my 2 cents  smile.gif

Haha that true sir but basically depending on one`s preferences, like i see the r6 is magnificent rclxm9.gif even though it is not fast as the zx10r but wont matter to me as im buying the bike for its design, engine and sound. But the problem is r6 too expensive for me. Now looking into z800 or zx6r 2012 (used one). Planning to use the bike to commute between shah alam and rawang using guthrie highway.

Any opinion is very good input for me. Thanks guys. thumbup.gif

aiyoo... if city ride...between Z800 and zx6r, i wld suggest u to go for naked z800... is built mainly for the purpose of city riding (it has got a seat height higher than ZX6r, if height is a issue to you).

superbike are for meant for

That's true sir. But that race need to be 100 confident. if not then bye.gif Haha. yeah i've seen so many er6n during the morning while was on my way to work. Just 1-2 sportsbike. most of them choose naked and faired 1 like the er6f. The maintanance of a z800. can you guys gave me some average on it. thanks. thumbup.gif

Design: Naked or Faired? Some like it naked, some like it faired. I like naked but riding faired.
Engine: Durability or Performance? Performance normally will require more maintenance since riding style will different greatly compare to those use for long journey. You don't sit on a supersport and just cruise, the hand will automatically twist the throttle more often biggrin.gif ...
Sound: i4 or V or Triple or boxer... Well, I still haven't found anyone in love with i2 yet. But if you ask me, i4, V or triple or boxer each have their own cults follower. And after riding i2 for sometimes, I found that the sound is not bad as long as it is not idling.

if only Z8 and ZX6 to choose from, I choose Z8...

If let say im looking for a bike thats is 50k ish. what are my options other than those 2. haha. been looking around and found only that kawa bike are worth to buy in Malaysia. Definitely im not looking at the er6f or n. test it and not satisfied with it. Banelli... new so not many review. biggrin.gif

R6 for 80k?! You can get a ZX10R or 2012 R1 with that price at Naza bikes. In comparison with 72K for 2013 636, for 1K less you can also get a Suzuki GSXR 750 L1.

Anyway, I am not going to elaborate further on this as the masses are always saying they do not take trade in Naza's bikes cause they were parallel imported from US and so forth. Best of all is that they are saying that the bikes need Juice box to run with our Ron95 fuel etc etc. And best of all, all authorized retailers are saying you will lose more resale value if buy from Naza and the rants goes on and on. To me, its all bloody bull crap!

I use the 636 for city & long rides - fine with me as it is just a matter of getting used to. If you are looking at the Z800, also take the time to compare it with Aprillia Shiver 750.

Yup same as lucifah says. Naza. Cheap but recond import from us bla2...

Haha. So many negative things that people says abt the after sales service.

but havent confirm that my self. So i cant really say anything abt it mate.

So you get your 636 from naza sir? or normal bike store?

Price: 50k and below,Engine: 500cc and above, new bike, Benneli tnt600, Naza 650R, Yama XJ6, KTM Duke 690, Versys 650 (This is the same engine with ER6 but tune differently) That's all that I can remember. 2nd hand will be lots more depends on year and condition. You gotta narrow down your taste, like type (Sport, Touring, Naked, Cruiser. SuperMoto,) etc etc. Then list down what you want from the bike. (Speed, show off, bad boy image, fun ride, touring, workhorse, etc etc) List down all the bike in a list and strike off 1 by 1...
No one choose a bike for you, you gotta choose it yourself, because you will be the one who ride it...

yup thanks for the advice. If it were for me , i would choose sportbike class. Since im using it to commute to work the naked and touring class is my option. still considering on which one to buy. thumbup.gif

Haha. Nice name but performance wise, kawa naked bike is better and like inline sound better than v engine. vroom2 smooth not rigorous live v engine. haha thumbup.gif but hey that just my 2 cent bro. Thanks for the suggestion sir.
