I love the bike as is but my point is that for the price that we are paying - you can get a better bike.

I myself is an old fart already, still can bend and flip upside down on a supersports. It is a matter of getting used to.

it is about straight line really....  infact i nvr like straight line, winding roads are better 

anyway, i was at your position too..... but if u can save a lil more, i wld suggest for u to go zx10r cos value for money 

with another RM10k top up, u get a bigger cc bike (better straight line for your case ) and it comes with a electronics damper.

636 doesnt come with a damper.. ohlins damper for 636 is still rare and it can come out to another RM3,000..

but of course thts only my 2 cents 

aiyoo... if city ride...between Z800 and zx6r, i wld suggest u to go for naked z800... is built mainly for the purpose of city riding (it has got a seat height higher than ZX6r, if height is a issue to you).

Design: Naked or Faired? Some like it naked, some like it faired. I like naked but riding faired.
Engine: Durability or Performance? Performance normally will require more maintenance since riding style will different greatly compare to those use for long journey. You don't sit on a supersport and just cruise, the hand will automatically twist the throttle more often ...
Sound: i4 or V or Triple or boxer... Well, I still haven't found anyone in love with i2 yet. But if you ask me, i4, V or triple or boxer each have their own cults follower. And after riding i2 for sometimes, I found that the sound is not bad as long as it is not idling.

if only Z8 and ZX6 to choose from, I choose Z8...

R6 for 80k?! You can get a ZX10R or 2012 R1 with that price at Naza bikes. In comparison with 72K for 2013 636, for 1K less you can also get a Suzuki GSXR 750 L1.

Anyway, I am not going to elaborate further on this as the masses are always saying they do not take trade in Naza's bikes cause they were parallel imported from US and so forth. Best of all is that they are saying that the bikes need Juice box to run with our Ron95 fuel etc etc. And best of all, all authorized retailers are saying you will lose more resale value if buy from Naza and the rants goes on and on. To me, its all bloody bull crap!

I use the 636 for city & long rides - fine with me as it is just a matter of getting used to. If you are looking at the Z800, also take the time to compare it with Aprillia Shiver 750.

Price: 50k and below,Engine: 500cc and above, new bike, Benneli tnt600, Naza 650R, Yama XJ6, KTM Duke 690, Versys 650 (This is the same engine with ER6 but tune differently) That's all that I can remember. 2nd hand will be lots more depends on year and condition. You gotta narrow down your taste, like type (Sport, Touring, Naked, Cruiser. SuperMoto,) etc etc. Then list down what you want from the bike. (Speed, show off, bad boy image, fun ride, touring, workhorse, etc etc) List down all the bike in a list and strike off 1 by 1...
No one choose a bike for you, you gotta choose it yourself, because you will be the one who ride it...

How about Ducati, nice looking, can show of to chick, not too slow, not too big.
