tell u what - most sensors are magnetic based - i.e. your vehicle "cut" the magnetic field when it passess by the designated area, thus triggering the switch. in your case, you may have not slowed down or stopped at the correct place to "cut" the magnetic field

but next time, just bring a hypermotard and go over the curbs like a bawse... hahaha
