It's a real pita to key in addresses. I got around this by creating customised asc files for myself.

For example, I used Notepad to create a file named Places.asc. Contents of the file is like this ..

You can grab the coordinates off Google map. To install, just copy/paste into your thumbdrive and stick it into the usb slot of your car.
Rather than manually key in the address, look for one of your customed POIs nearby to the location. Then use the HU's screen to naviagate to that area. Can select your destination street by tapping the screen with your finger. So long as your GPS brings you near enough to the place, it shan't be too much trouble locating your final destination.
i create the file...put in my pendrive...stick it into the usb shot...then it will auto update the gps of the HU?
