personally, MoH because there are things you just cannot dodge. the on activation shield + boosted healing is good too if your effective health is high.
MoE has let me down in act2/3 too much to even bother it further usages. and my armor /resistance for the most part is in tuned on the 10:1 ratio with MoH, unless a barb steps in then my resistance shoots off the roof (1.6k from the top stats thread lol)

That also depends on who are you dealing with.
Bosskill : MoH is kinda useless as either they 1hit you or not (like butcher/belial's case) so MoE with dodge is always better. IMHO as for MoC against bosskill, if your attack is high enough you don't even need that to add another few seconds reduction. Better opt for high armor in case you can't avoid the Oh-Shi~ moment.
Elite: As what Sifus' are advised.
NOTE: Dual wield with Guardian's path adds another 15% dodge chance.
its actually better for boss kills/events because there are some things that are undodgable
eg: once you got hooked by butcher and stun, you cannot dodge
you cant dodge belial's ground explosions (but you can block AFAIK)
cannot dodge azmodan's corpse rain and black ground thingy
cant dodge diablo's flames/fireball aftermath DOT/prison
also dodge is not 100%, after you're passed 60-70% mark it gets diminished so quickly it's hard to get any more without sacrificing your other stats (this is coming from me who had 2k+ dex before btw)

Base: 7000 armor (70% DR) 400 resist (57.14% DR) (30% Monk DR) = Overall 91% DR
Hard Target 8400 armor (73.68% DR) 400 resist (57.14% DR) (30% Monk DR) = Overall 92.11% DR
Time of Need 7000 armor (70% DR) 480 resist (61.54% DR) (30% Monk DR) = Overall 92.91% DR
Time of Need gives only extra 0.8% DR, but at a loss of 15% / 30% dodge.
it isnt 15/30% btw, it is a multiplicative addition means you're losing less than 15/30% dodge depending what is your current dodge.

not really. my mystic ally in fact tanks better than me depending on circumstances.
it FOR SURE has more hp than i am
and its resist/armor scales from mine.
mind you my earth ally can face tank diablo's lightning breath while i barely could despite having the added ability to dodge/block its breath lol.

his resistance 100% scales from you. i just dont have the paper as to how much.
you can try going in 0 resist and have ur mystic ally sit on plague, while putting on maybe 1k resist and have it doing the same again

the biggest difference is that YOU can get outta plague, he cant. he's stupid lol.
and yes, earth ally is priceless when fighting elites as you can focus 1 down while he distract the rest. or provide additional distraction when you're kiting (so not all of them are together and banging down on your face)

my avg is 10-11k armor and 1-1.1k all resist.
highest armor reached was around 12-13k, resistance 1.6k as posted
however i can assure you that you do not need as much as evident by other monks.
in fact i am gearing up for offensive stats now and am toning down on my defensive gears/separate them for tank/dps sets
