Dear all Unifi expert,
Finally, I have just installed Unifi. However, I want to connect another telephone line to the Unifi but it will be in another room. From what I see on the current connection, my telephone line is connected to the VoIP port on the VDSL modem. Can I connect another modem or another VDSL modem in the other room to this current TM given VDSL modem model ZTE ZXDSL931DII in the Living Hall so that I can connect another telephone to the VoIP port in the other mentioned above modem or another VDSL modem in the other room so that I can use normal telephone to make free calls??? By the way, I plan to connect both modem in different room using HomePlug. Which HomePlug in the market is the BEST? Is there any modem available in the market with VoIP port and LAN port in a same device? Can I setup like the one below or any recommendation? ![]() Looking forward to your reply. Thanks. QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Aug 12 2012, 09:44 PM) @victorwan Wah......thank you all for all your replies. In that configuration, your homeplug will not work as only port 1 on the ZXDSL BTU will be configured for VLAN 500 (HSI) + 600 (IPTV) trunk. You need to connect the homeplug to one of the LAN ports on the DIR-615. If you want to use your Unifi VOIP line all over your network, you need to access the ZXDSL web configuration, copy the SIP proxy + user + password details and trunk VLAN 400 out into port 2/3/4 of the BTU or into port 1 (facing the router). If you go with port 1, your router needs to forward VLAN 400 tagged into your home network at which point you can connect a VLAN compatible SIP phone or ATA. You would probably also need to switch to a different router as this trunking configuration isn't really possible with the DIR-615. Grab an IP via DHCP on VLAN 400 and send a SIP register, you're good to go. It would be easier to install an analog splitter from the RJ11 port on the ZXDSL or pick up a cordless phone rather than attempt to run your own VLAN trunked network behind the DIR-615 IMO. However, all mentioned here are too technical for me. Need to read a few times to understand it. Which Homeplug selling here is the best? Aztech ? |

QUOTE(JetOoi @ Aug 27 2012, 12:44 PM) Had been using VIP5 for 2 days and have some questions(or problems?). Hope sifu here can give some advice: Reply for no. 2) item.1) run speed test from speedtest.net and TM speedometer. Download speed very slow and unstable (ranging from 800kbps - 3mbps, most of the time below 1 mbps!) Upload speed super fast (18-19mbps!). Is there something wrong with router setting (TM original router) because I get similar result from 3 different PCs? Should I report to the TM contractor who installed UNIFI for me or direct to TM? P/S: speed test carried out with wired connection. 2) When I stream Youtube using HyppTV for Youtube, there is a dark line on right bottom of EVERY video I streamed, and the dark line is not there when I use Live TV, VOD, or even TED. Only HyppTV for Youtube affected. Any of you guys encounter this as well? I am from Penang island, high-rise residential. Thanks in advance! Yes, my HyppTV for Youtube also has a dark line on the same place. Initially, my son thought my HDTV got problem but when watch TV and Assteruk, no dark line there. So, I told my son, not our TV problem, could be Youtube problem. Don't bother anymore. This post has been edited by victorwan: Aug 27 2012, 01:52 PM |

QUOTE(nestlebliss @ Sep 19 2012, 03:18 PM) guys heard of the new sports channel on hypptv... do they have bpl? does the mutv have live matches? sorry i dont have unifi thats why i dont know... thinking of unsubscrbing my astro and subscrive unifi.. but i need my football... Haha.........I am also looking forward for this to happen. Now HyppTV got Champions League LIVE, not sure will have BPL or not later. But if sure have, I will also stop Astro subscription and go for FULL HyppTV package. But the problem is NOT SURE this current LIVE at HyppTV is only Introductory or not. Scare of later it become VOD and have to pay for these additional LIVE matches. See how first. My plan is this........... To STOP Astro subscription and get the ASTRO NJOI package which just need to pay one time fees and enjoy all the other free family package. Then, subscribe to FULL HyppTV package. |

QUOTE(kimyee73 @ Sep 20 2012, 03:52 PM) Well, if the subscription is lower than Assteruk, it is still worth it and also got HD !!!My Assteruk don't have HD anymore after I moved into my Condo which they don't provide HD connection. Seems like the subscription fees not yet available, can't find it anywhere at all. |
