Its down for me here in Cheras too. My optical is red now.

Digi is useless here, upgrading upgrading but work never gets done.
Using digi to go online is madness....

I just fucuk the staff upside down. So called planned maintenance but never bother to inform customer. I'm going to upload my recording later. At least give us rm5 off the next bill. Won't be so angry right now.

My line seems to be back up already. I hope they keep up with their good service.

They have updated the BTU firmware as well. I was taking something nearby then I saw my Alcatel being restarted. Boot sequence is different now. It seems to go through a longer self diagnostics and takes longer to boot up.
POTS is now permanently on. When the phone is lifted, it will start blinking indicating usage. Once the phone is hung up. It will stop blinking.

That is not POTS, but its VoIP.
*
True..its VoIP. But its not direct VoIP where the phone can connect by itself.

My FTTH modem is still putting out POTS signal.
I wired it to my existing analog phone line and I cut off the TM fixed line at the back of my house. All the fixed line phones including my fax machine connected to existing wiring works. Its useful for sending fax since TM fixed lines are free.

Dear all Unifi expert,

Finally, I have just installed Unifi.

However, I want to connect another telephone line to the Unifi but it will be in another room.

From what I see on the current connection, my telephone line is connected to the VoIP port on the VDSL modem.

Can I connect another modem or another VDSL modem in the other room to this current TM given VDSL modem model ZTE ZXDSL931DII in the Living Hall so that I can connect another telephone to the VoIP port in the other mentioned above modem or another VDSL modem in the other room so that I can use normal telephone to make free calls???

By the way, I plan to connect both modem in different room using HomePlug. Which HomePlug in the market is the BEST?

Is there any modem available in the market with VoIP port and LAN port in a same device?

Can I setup like the one below or any recommendation?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks.

You could try to plug in an old analog phone and see if you could get that tone when you lift up the handset. Try dialing your number. If it works. Just run standard analog telephone cables from your VDSL to your other phones.

So far my FTTH modem works. I have several splitters on the wiring and running a fax machine, old fixed line phone and that given DECT phone.

No free promo ah? for the VOD perhaps yeah me cheapskate

And I noticed the D-Link DIR-615 and the BTU is extremely hot, later those burned out how?

I thought got free all channels for 30 days except VOD. I was enjoying BBC programs for the first month. I'm cheapskate too. After that, I rather stream from BBC site than watching on Hypp.

DIR is your property, you can use something to cool it...
But mine doesn't seem to get really hot. Or maybe its just warm. So crashes or hang so far.

BTU is TM property, if it burnt out. You can call them in. Lifetime warranty. That's what my TM tech told me. Everything comes out from that BTU. So if it fails, the customer cannot use anything at all. That's why under warranty from TM.

My FTTH modem seems rather warm as well. You can put a USB laptop cooler on it and draw power from the DIR usb port. It gathers dust rather quickly as well. So far I just placed it on a well ventilated spot on my table, so far so good. I noticed my Huawei HyppTV runs lot warmer than the modem. Even if its in standby mode. I turn it off when not in use.

ya.. i also wondering how to use the StreamyxZone wifi.

username@StreamyxZone - which TM wifi hotspot that we can use..?
the password also cannot change in unifi portal.  mad.gif

From my experience, you log in using your id@unifi and password is the same as your unifi log in password.
So far it works on every of the TM wifi hotspot I happen to be in. Almost all secret recipe has TM wifi, it'll be a good place to try it out if it works.

There's an option for the portal to remember this device. Once you selected that option, You don't need to enter your log in details anymore. just open any web page and a 'logging in automatically' page then you're good to go.
So far so good with my phone and my tab.
Not sure how it works though, mac address capture maybe?
