Hi there, I'm new in this.

Just had Unifi recently, VIP5 and the download speed is great, constantly around 500kbps!! =)

However, I checked that Unifi prevents torrent seeding right?

Is there any way to bypass this? P2P is a file sharing thing, I believe in providing once I get downloading from other fellow seeders.

Kindly advise me, gurus.

congrats bro

no unifi do not block it yet

bitcomet got LTS (long time seed) which make ur PC upload to other using HTTP not bitorent so even if tm block bittorent u can still (give back) to comunity... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Yet? That means Unifi will block seeding in the future soon, right?

Hmm, I'm using uTorrent, and I'm facing very low upload speeds despite the high download speed.

Are you able to tell me why this happens? Once download is complete, the moment I want to seed, I don't see any peers connected, it's either 1-5 peers or none, this is miserable.. As a result, no upload is made..

Kindly advice me, thanks =)

Ya, I did. The upload speed is just dissapointing for torrents.. =/

ya, I will try Bitcomet soon, let me finish off my downloads then I might give it a try when I'm free =)

Thanks!

utorrent or bitcomet??i think both supports the long time seeding right?

some say utorrent less hassle and better efficiency then bitcomet..what say u?
*
Actually, I still don't quite understand what long time seeding is, but as long as I seed it back to at least the ratio of 1, I'm satisfied.

utorrent is lightweight, that's the only thing I knew XD

Hey guys need help here, can I make the DIR-615 strictly only allow WIRED LAN network to access config page?
*I still get no news on router/network device Subforum for router specific discussion.  sad.gif

U can try this..

On the left sidebar

Enter Wireless Setup --> Multiple Wireless Network Name Setup

You'll see a slot with your wifi name, untick all names, and that should do the trick =)

after 2 and half years finally my BTU spoiled...just changed it 3 days ago.. called them at around 2am and the technician came at 930am..

I suppose u're trying to say that the service is responsive, right? =)

Good for you wink.gif

u r right.. utorrent is light and very good and that is the prob... coz it very popular many isp i think just use software or hardwares just to block it...

another one bitcomet not vry mainstream... then not target for ISP... so the speed full  wink.gif

Ya, but I thought the protocol encryption feature would help? It did for me.

I already port forwarded by manual and auto, set my protocol encryption and it's working quite fine for now, I guess.. Will tell u guys if I ever encounter slow download/upload problems again.

It deosnt seems to look like it will block the wifi acess to config page. I am not sure what this function is, but it looks to me is a page to setup multiple wireless name. Nothing to do with security.
*
Hmm, your main purpose is to disable the wireless function right?

Either remove the antenna or try the method I provided earlier, it may work.. I'm not sure cause I never tried it.

My main purpose is to keep the wifi on while block them from accessing my config page.

Oic, then it is my mistake for misunderstanding, sorry.

I suppose there's no way to block unless u set a more secured password and admin name?

Just a rough guess, maybe there's a way to set your router to only allow your IP address to access the config page.

Hopefully there's someone skilled who could help u in this, definitely not me. biggrin.gif
