Dear all Unifi expert,

Finally, I have just installed Unifi.

However, I want to connect another telephone line to the Unifi but it will be in another room.

From what I see on the current connection, my telephone line is connected to the VoIP port on the VDSL modem.

Can I connect another modem or another VDSL modem in the other room to this current TM given VDSL modem model ZTE ZXDSL931DII in the Living Hall so that I can connect another telephone to the VoIP port in the other mentioned above modem or another VDSL modem in the other room so that I can use normal telephone to make free calls???

By the way, I plan to connect both modem in different room using HomePlug. Which HomePlug in the market is the BEST?

Is there any modem available in the market with VoIP port and LAN port in a same device?

Can I setup like the one below or any recommendation?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks.

Your homeplug should be connected to dir-615

Your second phone also cannot. Just get a twin cordless phone set.

Even youtube shit itself these few days. Connection speed worse than Streamyx somemore.
*
A lot of youtube's content are cached locally. I believe some videos which are not accessed frequently are moved to some backend server without full connection speeds overseas. Hence some videos will stream fine and some will not.

whats there to monopoly?
time fiber can pull cable to wherever unifi built but time choose to cover only certain buildings that they find "economical."
plus unifi is also open to maxis and p1

QUOTE(steventan85 @ Sep 4 2012, 05:55 PM)
but do u think maxis and p1 is cheap ? maxis 10mbps fiber connection not stable , p1 not cheap as well...

Added on September 4, 2012, 5:56 pm

btw , can TM modem do bandwidth control ?
*
uh, p1 fiber is 99/month for 5mbps unlimited..isn't that cheaper than unifi/maxis? plus business can subscribe to it..biz5 is currently 199/month for unifi with no hypptv, no free calls.

QUOTE(AhBoy~~ @ Sep 4 2012, 06:33 PM)
Do you think can just pull cable "like that" du

Added on September 4, 2012, 6:35 pm
Tm has gov funding support their HSBB project
*
They have been pulling cable all around klang valley..if you look at their coverage, a lot of buildings are covered by time. maxis actually has a lot of underground fiber cables around too.

any house that unifi serves, is also open to maxis and p1......

I can actually install unifi biz at home too. a lot of people did it as they feared the cap..
afaik, you can't install a home plan for biz but you can install biz plan for home.

Need advise for Unifi installation. I moved out from my previous house for about six months already where the unifi was installed under my name. My ex housemate been paying to me without fail every month.

Right now I want to install unifi at my current house. Moving it will cost me 300. Should I move it or set up a new one here using my brothers name? As he is staying with me now.

inb4, I have another 7 months left
