guys, recently i change my tmnut router to tplink TL-WR1043ND. so problem is after d router been up for quite smtimes (1~2days), im unable to login to d router thru 192.168.1.1/tplinklogin.net. i tried all sort of connection which was via lan cable/wifi but to no avail. d only solutions to solve it is on/off d router. kinda tedious to on/off d router every 1 or 2days.
so i wonder is there any user of TL-WR1043ND here dat hv similar problem? what is ur solution to solve it?
*
Try changing ure wifi channel. And its just 192.168.1.1

Sneak peak from @TMCorp

http://www.digitalnewsasia.com/enterprise-...-bandwidth-hogs

UniFi VIP data caps are coming soon walauweihhhhhhhhhhhh
*
Lol. Yeah we are forced to make tm successful.
Also start capping when the price of package is reasonable.
Overall having broadband in malaysia still expensive

Btw tested no block on port 80. Tested on unifi vip20 and biz20

Well, in the very same article the CEO assured that no caps will be imposed......yet.

The statistics seems to be exagerrated...i mati mati download also, veri hard to hit 500GB =.=.
*
Also i think the trend of dowloading is alot in the beginning. After first two months nothing much to download lol

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Jul 25 2012, 05:12 PM)
500GB?? i cant even achieve tht also...
*
Y not. Unifi vip20.
8gb per hour
192gb per day
1344gb per week

No prob. Alot of ppl are downloading bdrip mt2s files. Norm is 50gb per movie.

norm is about 25-30 gb la...
get a 2TB disk la..
so cheap now tongue.gif
*
looks some of u dont buy hdd often

hdd price now expensive
abt the same as hdd price 3 years ago. lol
it was cheap before the flood.
how cheap around 33-40 percent cheaper

also a lot of ppl dont realize the hdd nowadays are downsized versions of the previous.

wd for example are trying to marganilize cost on a lot of used to be included features thats now only available in different models.

the 1tb black first gen for example is way way lot different that the current one and dont die easily

cheap.. yeah.. 2gb green that i wont even trust on any backup reliability.
old ones u can even keep it collecting dust butt naked.. blow off the dust and it will work with the same reliability.

Hi anyone facing issue video lag while watching 1080p in you tube? i am watching video using unifi but it lags at 720p and 1080p....... fyi, i am using VIP 5mb
*
eh thats no suprise the lag part.

most of the 1080p recommended is with a 8mb download line.
just let it buffer for a few secs and ure good.

serious that means if used 10mb it will not lag at all.
*
again the lag is marginal.
its just ure patience of waiting for buffering for a few secs.

no it will just continue..

not sure what telekom is doing but normally on vip 20 download is around 2.3mbps max out torrent. 2.3 because normally theres a overhead of 100-200kbps. Direct download is around 2.5mpbs

today been getting 2.5-3mbps on torrents.

Again wanna ask here
On VIP 20. When u download at 2.3mb/s (20mbps) whats ure upload at?? Shouldnt it be also at 2.3mb/s (20mb/s) so total u get is 40mbps at the same time right??

My prob is when i do it at the same time i get 1.5mb/s each so total 24mbps.

I know with VIP 5 i get full 600kb/s on upload and download at the same time so getting at 9.6mbps

so y isnt the vip 20 at the not hitting atleast 32mbps (80percent ) to get 2mb/s each

What protocol are you using (http, bittorrent, etc.) and are you on a wired or wifi connection?
*
Wired. Landed. Modem TM Alcatel, Router TPlink 1043nd, Dlink Asus N66 .. tested with all 3.

Tested via HTTP, TCP, UTP, FTP lol. (torrents are TCP/UTP).

its one sided that maxed out at 20mb. Cant get both at the same time. But noted that download takes precedence on bandwidth compared to upload. If i max out Download at 2.3mb/s my upload will have around 100-200kb/s. But when i limit the Download (Via QSS or Torrents etc) to 1.5mb/s i get 1.5mb/s for upload. If download doing nothing will get 2.3mb/s on upload.

Complained already and waiting.

FTP transfer was to my office.

The reason i find this weird cause my office BIZ 20 when i am uploading to my Home at 2.4mb/s the download wont be affected with youtube hitting close to 2mb/s

I can only do one sided at max

Hm, that's interesting. There are separate ingress/egress caps on the Alcatel ONU, if you can get 20mbps up/down separately there's likely nothing wrong with your service provisioning. They should be able to check your optical readings to see if there's anything weird there (I'm not sure how the Alcatel ONU behaves should your site not meet the recommended spec). Have you tried watching a HD channel on IPTV while maxing out your line at 1.5MB/s up+down? Also, what program are you using to take the readings..? Would like to know how much bandwidth is being used for protocol overhead so it would be ideal to use something that reads the bytes/second from the network adapter itself.
*
Resource Monitor Logging on my Task Manager. Understand the part of Overhead and hence on UDP which has less overhead i can reach close to 2.5mb/s. TCP norm is 2.3mb/s

No idea where to get the optical reading.

Home Connected on a gigabit port on Asus Rampage IV extreme One computer and another with Asus Maximus IV Extreme.

Office Comp on another Asus Maximus IV extreme. So identical both using the same Intel Gigabit Adapter.

IPTV hmm ok will try but in the past no diff to my connection but will try.

BTW is it possible to access the alcatel and change the cap?Is the alcatel having issue with download and upload at the same time?? In the end will still be limited by Unifi server of 20 right. So shouldnt raising this higher give me a 20 up and down.
Think i have the password etc etc all the code etc as i took a picture of the work sheet last time when he was installing.

Of course have ler.Thats why I ask.Must unsubscribe first or can just simply tell them and show some document so they will reduce the price to OKU plan?
*
no need to unsubscribe. did for my bro. u need to go to Tm point. Theres a OKU id card. Just show that would suffice.

he had vip 5 which just started in june

they will just do a oku upgrade. he just went for 20.

Just to let u guys know something
when my bro upgraded to oku 20 from vip 5 since last week sat. The speed was like download capped at 5 with a flux of upload to 20. capped meaning u will see it hitting 20 and then slowing down to 5.

dlink router given normal config was totally changed with no QSS on it etc.
Changed to tp-link 1043nd for him
20/20.

so the question is. Is there more to the dlink settings that cant be seen in the management username id??

It was capping my bro at 5.

interesting eh.

router. honestly after 2 weeks, i can say the hardware is the same, just better software
*
which part of my sentence u didnt get

i said theres some limit on the modem on it that i cant even see on the management id that was limiting him to 5/5
change to tplink 20/20

this was from upgrade from 5 to 20.

and im telling u management id is the highest access level
dont know read or dont understand?
meaning there's no other hidden options the management id cant see
*
Is it ure a noobie who cant comprehend what i wrote.

The cap was at the router. I didnt ask was there a higher level username.

My evidence is based on what happened. Ures is based on a presumption that the management id has all the settings. Firmware are optional configs. Same as ddwrt can unleash more configurable option. Thats what the gui part of the firmware rep. Alot of settings are preconfigured.

Its either this or the system is capping based on mac address. Only way to know is to wait for rizvanrp reply on the subject matter.

hi. im planning to upgrade my vip 5 to oku20. so are you saying when you downloading the speed will cap to 5mbps rather than 20mbps? any more differences of speed from vip5 to oku20?
*
well when u do the upgrade. no termination charges etc.
the issue with his was it was like being capped. u can see the speedtest hit 20 but the trickle down to 5. This was with
the Dlink router given. Changed to TpLink 1043nd for him.. got 20/20 perfect.

speed a lot of difference. go for it.
