back to the question, watching IPTV from LCD Monitor, bro rattan did replied me that the STB allows connection from LCD Monitor, which is great, but what about the sound connectivity? The particular monitor that I'm currently referring to DellTM  ST2320L which does not comes with audio output. Any idea?
*
Just buy a RCA - 3.5mm cable, connect 1 side to the RCA jack at the back on ur STB and the other to ur speakers...

wa so geng...
btw i tried this method

3rd floor, STB -router - homeplug
1st floor, homeplug - laptop

internet works...

but hypptv cant work D:

Hmm, i just buy a pair of Rj45 from the hardware shop (rm2 per biji). It is essentially a repeater, so what I did is I cut off the redundant wirings, and re-wire so that 4 pairs from the single port will go into 2 pairs each of the 2 pairs of the output port. There, I can plug 2 cables from Internet and IPTV port into the splitter, which then goes thru a single cable to my hall, and i use the other splitter to split the 4 pairs to the STB and my HTPC.

Its simple really, its done at a physical level, so you won't need the trunking function of the TPLink. However, you do lose the gigabit lan capability. This is great for those that already did concealed wiring with only 1 LAN cable.

If still interested i'll try to make a mini guide or something. this is the cheapest solution i think so far tongue.gif

The splitter i bought is this one here.

Actually for me the DLINK have served me very well as well 3000+ sq ft double story house. Even outside the house in the garden still can get good signal. Can surf on the phone and tab no issues at all.

Maybe it depends on the house structure/obstructions. What i know is that wood is the worst enemy of signal. Signal becomes weak when it gets in contact with wood.
*
i guess...im staying at double digit floor at my condo...and when i go to ground floor...i can still see my house AP, though its only 1 bar (around 10% wifi strength)

the dir615 cant be that bad, just that maybe it lack features/optimization.

Wow which mean a lot of bank that used 1300 and claim as toll free is fake  doh.gif
*
Yes, including Pizza Hut hotline as well.

Thats why I usually call the local numbers for banks instead of their 1300 number tongue.gif

1800 = toll free number, no charges to you.
1300 = local free number, no matter where you call, its charged at local call charges.

Note that if you call a 1800 number using your hp, u still get billed, but im sure you already know this smile.gif

which TV i need to buy for HyppTV?
*
Normal TV will do. As long you have RCA cable input (yellow-white-red) or hdmi.

Cant rmb if they have the green-red-blue output or not.

the coverage is limited ...TM monopolised all the good location  mad.gif  mad.gif  mad.gif
*
I dont think TM actually has a monopoly on this. Just that other ISP are not willing to invest so much in HSBB right now.

To remove the myth that TM monopoly the HSBB business by location, my condo has both Time & Unifi both serving together in the very same building.

selikatwo : should be no problem...get a HDMI-DVI-D converter. Make your LCD Monitor can accept DVI-D connection.
then you need to connect the sound from the hypp tv STB directly to ur speakers.

Worst case scenario is to use a RCA-VGA adapter.

Today at 9am, i got a called from this number "+100". I think it wasnt a person who is speaking. It was the voice machine. The voice machine said something like this in BM "this is telekom. It is regarding about your Unifi that u have some extended bills for 3 months, which cost RM3000." I was damn shocked to hear this. So i accidently hang up on my hand-phone.
RM3000 for 3moths?!! i have subscript Vip5 - even i have extended bill for 3moths, i dont think it would be 3k. I really like to know if this number "+100", really is Telekom? Im surprise that they called me, instead of my dad coz it was registered under my dad.

Updates: i just called TM unifi center to check out my billings. I was relieved that my bills is RM149 with no extended bills. So i told the operator about the morning call. They told me that it was a scam and they have been receiving many calls this morning about this scams. so everyone be careful about this scam method.

*
Just to let you know Unifi do have credit limit cap to prevent this from happening, so its impossible for your bill to even hit RM1000, let alone RM3000. smile.gif

btw +100 sounds like an international number...
