I can withstand packet losses but in this case it's totally down (no internet access) when it happened (Voip down as well).

I've also rechecked and confirmed that it's on Connect Automatically (which is always connect).

I don't have BTU one.. only RG... I'm on highrise 

Currently i've upgraded my unifi using the promo for 3 month paying same fee as vip 5.

My question is possible to upgrade to unifi 20 mbps and again enjoy the 3 month same fee promo?..

Hi, I have done a quick search but nothing turned up so I'll just ask here. I am considering to install either Unifi or Maxis Fibre in my condo, Greenview Residence.

Anybody has Unifi installed there?

Do they install the Fibre optic cable to your unit or do they use the existing telephone line?

If they use the existing telephone line, do they upgrade the existing wire or anything? coz I'm currently doing renovations and I want to have all my cables hidden if possible.

How is your line performance?

they charge for over qota? do they give choice if someone want speed reduce... dont want be charged extra....

btw .. can we transfer out the unifi account to some1 else ?  i still hav a 5mth contract with UNIFI .. but thinking of getting the ASTRO broadband promo.  possible to transfer out my UNIFI account and not get penalized RM500 for termination ?

UniFi sucks big time. I am in my bro's house in the vicinity of Taman Bahagia LRT station. I can't even download a 50MB size pdf file before it gets disconnected!!

Here's a compliment for Unifi and TM.
I've to be fair when credits are deserved by ISPs

By far, TM has the largest overseas capacity and the most peering networks in Malaysia. No arguments about it.
This is followed by Time and Maxis.They have at least more than double the capacity of their nearest rival.

The only drawback about them is their customer service and support.

Nope, turn off service such as QOS, etc will free up some ram, and what version are your router using now?

TM do have 50mbps and 100mbps unifi package actually, if you are willing to pay anyway, just need to ask the right person

I got myself Unifi VIP5...
Download speed increased, but everything else sucked

I guess it gotta down with the Dlink (I never had luck with this brand) 615.
Its really not stable. Everytime disconnect and cannot connect back, especially when open a few pages of websites.

and when I connect back become Connected with limited Access

Here is what I did:

1) Change the Channel to manual to Channel 9 (I check my area nobody using Channel 9)
Didn't work...after a while got only limited access

2) Disconnect the Set top box from the Router
Didn't work...after a while got only limited access...need to restart computer

3) Change Wireless b/g to b/g/n and also change the freq from 20/40hz to 20hz
Didn't work...after a while got only limited access...need to restart computer

4) Change the DNS to whatever there is
Didn't work...after a while got only limited access...need to restart computer

5) upgrade firmware to 7.15 (there goes my warranty), etc etc etc etc

In the end i google for "Connected with limited Access"

Got this general info about WPA2....they say change to WPA only....well I did...

Damn...it worked

And I tried off the wireless and on back...able to connect with full access.
No need to restart the computer anymore...yes, you do have to set the password again for WPA only on the lappy, basically its the same numbers
Rock solid connection

Will update if it really work to solve the unstable issues...not sure if its a combination between the Antivirus problem, old laptop or whatever

could someone please enlighten me.. I tried to register Unifi at my house in Bukit Jelutong, but they say the unifi port for the area is full so cannot install. Does that mean i wont be able to subcribe at all?
